To stumble on this hotel in the country is a true find. The staff most pleasant, accommodating, and multitasking. The rooms are well appointed with comfortable beds. They were very clean and spacious overlooking a delightful brook/pond/countryside. Breakfast was excellent.

This hotel is just off the M6 in the Tebay service area and is run by the same family company as the farm shops and cafes. I use this hotel A LOT. It's just off the M6 at junction 38 and is run by the same company that have those lovely farm shop services on either side of the motorway. You can also access the hotel from either side of the junction, which is highly convenient. The rooms are all large and have recently been refurbished.... More

This hotel is literally jut off the M6 at Westmorland Services. The ambience however is lovely - very Scandinavian in feel - lots of pine and high arched ceilings and plenty of glass. We had a family (aged 6 months to 90) get together at the Westmorland Hotel over Easter. The staff were friendly and welcoming to all of us and considerate of our needs. The rooms had fantastic views. The food was good. I'm looking forward to my next stay.

I can't fault the rooms at this hotel I stayed in room 26 which had a great view of the stream outside and I watched the ducks was a bit windy for them. my parents stayed in the room opposite and the view wasn't very good but that dosen't always matter especially as we were only staying one night there.... Just back from our first stay in the hotel for 5 years. The staff were excellent - particularly the receptionist who made my wife and I very comfortable when checking in with our little 4 month old baby. Our room was superb, however deserved a bigger TV than the 19" square (non-widescreen) TV. A 37" LED would have been perfect.... More

Immaculate dog-friendly room. Sumptuous bed. Great restaurant. Friendly efficient staff. Great place to break our 700 mile journey. Thoroughly enjoyed, fully recommend. Well worth the money and the farm shop is great.
