I was staying here on business and immediately noticed the older vibe from this hotel as soon as I walked in, which was fair enough as I was here on business and not a stag weekend. The food was really nice and the staff friendly, but I wouldnt bring my girlfriend here to stay.

There is nothing bad about this hotel, I'm just not its target audience. I would recommed this place to older couples. more

Have seen the George from the outside but never stayed before.
It was ok - nothing more, but nothing less, to be fair.

The rate secured online was cheap enough. But the (standard) room was pretty cramped, and had no sort of view from the window at all. The window would not budge open - and I do like some fresh air in a bedroom! Also, there is no lift in the hotel, so travel light.......

You can get a vegetarian breakfast........this was requested by asking for "no meat". So it was a little surprising to find a slice of black pudding underneath the grilled tomato.......
