A group of 9 friends stayed here for 2 nights and Thomas and Marguerite were most welcoming hosts. The rooms were spotlessly clean and comfortable and nothing was too much trouble. The lovely full English breakfasts set us up for a day's walking and the picnics were varied and substantial! The guesthouse is very well placed - easy to find... More

As a group we did the coast to coast challenge, some of us stayed here. My husband and I were lucky enough to to get the 'west wing' with a lovely room huge bathroom and complimentary toned and towels. The owners were absolutely love accommodating all requests, making a lovely full English breakfast and providing home made flapjack for our... More

Just stayed 4 nights in the Tynedale with my daughter and 2 grandchildren, SUPER!!! Marguerite and Thomas make you feel directly at home, we stayed in the family room on the first floor. Lovely clean and comfortable room, breakfast was delicious, all made with local produce, would recommend to everyone. If in Penrith stay at the Tynedale Guesthouse.

I stayed at Tynedale Guest House for 4 nights, waiting for my permanent accommodation to be sorted. The B&B is very clean and tidy with spacious and comfortable rooms, and has all the facilities you would expect (including fast internet). The breakfast is one of the best I've had, make sure you try the sauteed mushrooms. Also, as other reviewers... More

Beautiful B&B: the owners were very accommodating of us, even with our bikes and other cycling clobber. We were allocated the two rooms on the top floor giving us our own landing as well. Marguerite and Thomas (owners) went out of their way to accommodate us even provisioning us with free flapjacks for the cycle ride the next day. Tynedale... More

As part of a Coast to Coast Cycle team we stayed with Margarite and Tom at this extremely friendly and very tidy B&B. From the moment of our arrival (7 people) we were warmly welcomed, and our cycles safely secured.. We had facilities to effect repairs and were supported with advice on appropriate places to eat out. Following a hearty... More

I had a very comfortable and welcoming stay at Tynedale Guest House when I was in Penrith, Cumbria for the Lowther Fair. Excellent hosts who genuinely take care of their guests needs and serve a very tasty breakfast.

This is quite simply a lovely guest house. Stay Here! There were 9 of us taking part in the coast to coast cycle challenge and this was our second B &b stop off - which was absolutely lovely. Our hosts were most helpful cheerful and had pretty much learned our names by heart by the time we'd all checked in.... More

We booked this B&B whilst walking Lady Anne's Way. The hosts were very warm and friendly and happy to ring round restaurants to book us somewhere to eat. The rooms are a bit basic and the en suite tiny but more than compensated by a brilliant breakfast and very welcoming hosts.
