My family and I visited center parcs at the beginning of October last year, and we loved every minute of it! We went for my little boys 5th birthday and we never stopped all weekend. There is so much to do for all ages and abilities, and one of the best activities is free which is the swimming complex. Very... More

Just returned to Center Parcs at Whinfell for the third year running. Our chalet was fabulous with everything we needed for a relaxing stay including a hot tub and steam room. Pool facilities great fun and particularly if you visit early doors to avoid queues for the slides. Can pack all the action in less than an hour ! Enjoyed... More

I visited on a mid week break with my mum and our dog. We were worried about the lodge as it accommodated dogs and we were concerned it may be a little tired but it was lovely and modern, and spotlessly clean. We were both really impressed with the accommodation. We had a 3 bed lodge in Moorland View. Other... More

Outstanding. Staff very friendly, girl who does the mini jet skis deserves particular credit. All the cast of the wonderful wizard of oz were terrific and I was shocked by how good the performance was! Shop not really pricey at all, very well supplied and fresh bakery food excellent. Heather glade apartment immaculate

I would paint a picture of the place as basically the scabby tart that was Butlins with a clean pair of knickers on. From the moment you arrive and queue at the internment camp-esque barriers you realise the experience is to be one filled with petty rules and conformity, aimed at the 4x4 driving urban middle-class. There is a constant... More

Just returned from a late Easter break with my wife and 5-year-old. All three of us had a great time. First the downs. The Executive lodge we stayed in was tired and in need of an update, and it was impossible to move anywhere without a floorboard creaking. Watching the TV in the evenings when the youngster had gone to... More

Center parcs is a great balance of everything glam you are used to eg bars restaurants and shopping, all in one location with nature and animals. You can hire bikes and ride between pubs and activities without worrying about any traffic or getting lost. You can spot rare red squirrels during the day and then get dressed up on a... More

My 5 year old son and I recently returned from a 4 night break at Whinfell. This was our first visit and I really didn't know what to expect. My first impression was excellent with friendly, helpful staff offering a warm welcome, a map and advice on where to go and what to do. We stayed in the apartments which... More

Great facilities got potential to be a fantastic place if they reduced prices. Food is borderline robbery. Take all your food with you don't eat out or expect to pay a pretty penny. £32 in Starbucks for 6 drinks and packet of biscuits. £140 for evening meal only 6 main courses and 2 kids meals and drinks only 4 alcohol.... I was sorry to find that you feel our prices for food and drink are expensive. We do regularly review our prices and aim to maintain a balance with many major retail outlets both regionally and nationally. Indeed you will find restaurants from successful high street brands on our villages which ensures our guests are offered a quality dining experience... More

First visit. We had a great 5 days during the Easter break. Clean, safe and plenty to do. We stayed in the Lakeside Apartments which were clean, trendy and well equipped. Also, close to everything which was a bonus with a toddler. We found all staff to be friendly and helpful, especially Guest Services and the cleaning team. Yes, it... More
