the last time we came here was when it was still Oasis. This time we brought our 12 year old daughter,(she was less than a twinkle when we can last time!). We traveled up on Friday and the last part of the journey was very slow. The A66 is a road with many small dual carriage ways which seems to... More

I am presently staying at center parcs in a 3 bedroom woodland lodge, the so called modern upgraded type rather than the original ones. The cost for 3 nights £850. I feel that the lodge is ok, though a little worn in places but acceptable(for the price only just). The activities are ok though a bit too much of the... More

My family and I spent a full week (Friday to Friday) at Whinfell - our first visit to a Center Parcs in the UK! We have visited a number of Center Parcs in Holland and Belgium which are considerably cheaper!! Our accommodation was excellent as was the Tropical Paradise. The parc is set in a very attractive forest that provides... More

We visited Whinfell Forest last week and as always we had a great time there, I think it was our 7th visit to the park. The lodge was great, very clean and in a great location to get around the park. There were several things that bugged me on this visit though. We have been regular visitors to the Sports... More

We stayed in a 2 bedroom woodland lodge in moorland view (middle area). I was a little worried about the distance to the village centre but it was fine and actually worked out better for us as most of the activities we booked were pretty much on the doorstep. We were very close to the sports plaza, pottery studio, outdoor... More

Great family mid week break with plenty to do for all the family. Accommodation spacious and very clean. Stay away from the Parc Market for a main shop if you're planning on eating in the lodges. Get your shopping in a supermarket prior to arriving the mark up is pretty horrendous and you will save a fortune!!! Overall though a... More

We regularly come to Whinfell and always have a great time. Staff are always friendly and helpful. The cabin was clean and all restaurants provided a great service, especially the Pancake house!! There is such a wide range of activities to do and something for everyone. The only negative thing I have to say is that its very expensive, The... More

This was our 10th visit to Whinfell and was our most fun visit yet! The lodges are well designed so that even on a busy summer weekend they are peaceful with plenty of birds, squirrels and rabbits to watch. Our lodge (91 Seven Pines) was lovely and clean on our arrival (thank you Vicki!). We ate out at Hucks and... More
