We stayed in Derwent Lodge Hotel in early March 2012, for a weekend break. Our room, Keswick, was absolutely beautiful, with a sleigh bed, two armchairs (how annoying is it when only one is provided!), and a good view across Derwentwater. The Derwent Lodge does a very good Sunday Lunch. The food is good and they do half portions which are ample for we wrinklies and excellent value. Also they serve a good pint of Jennings Bitter and have quite a reasonable wine list. More

This immaculately presented small and friendly 3* hotel has a multitude of 4* touches. e.g. L'Occitane toiletries, super fluffy towels and his/hers robes and slippers, superb mattress, pillows and bedding.
