Keswick is a fantastic base to explore the lakes and Laurel Bank didn't let us down. Very nice hosts and good hardy (albeit English) breakfast. Rooms not as nice as they look on the pics, and we were unfortunate in that, whilst apparently clean, our bathroom did smell (!) when we arrived! Don't think that was the owners' fault tho and it was a shame as four stars otherwise.

We have just returned from a two night stay at Laurel Bank. A great place with warm and welcoming hosts. We had a lovely room, with excellent facilities. breakfast was fantastic, couldn't have asked for more! A great way to celebrate our 60th biurthdays.
