We had a four night stay at Hawcliffe House and really appreciated the peaceful, relaxing atmosphere. Diane was friendly and welcoming in a non intrusive way which was much appreciated. Our room (4) was comfortable, clean and spacious and we enjoyed the little extras such as toiletries and chocolate bars. The breakfasts included fresh strawberries and bananas as well as... More

Just got back from a week at the famous Keswick Convention and 7 nights at Hawcliffe House. We had a back room, standard double, recently refurbished to a very high standard. Lots of "extras" - several toiletries, very full and varied hospitality tray (replenished daily). Room was cleaned daily and towels changed half way through the week. (Front rooms are... More

We spent four nights at Hawcliffe House and were very satisfied with our accommodation. We stayed in Room 4 and appreciated the extra space the room afforded and the view out onto the street. We were easy walking distance to restaurants and shops as well as to the walking trails, which was important since we were on a walking holiday... More

We stayed at Diane's B&B for 3 nights and had a great time. Everything was so thoughtful and very clean. The breakfast was tasty and the house very close to the river and the town centre. I would say, it's the perfect guesthouse in the area.

We have been coming to Hawcliffe House for over 10-years and can honestly say that it is the best Bed & Breakfast in the Lake District. Diane and Ian are the perfect hosts and the accommodation is always spotlessly clean. The packed lunches are excellent and I would not hesitate in recommending this B&B as the perfect place to stay... More

The hotel was fabulous, Diane was welcoming an interested in our stay but not intrusive or over powering. I am away a lot with work and I’ve had some cooked breakfasts in my time but let me tell you Diane’s is one of the best, well presented and tasty! We’ve already booked for next year’s Beer Festival and if we... More

Highly recommended B&B situated centrally in Keswick. The rooms are always comfortable, well appointed and up to date. The breakfast will keep you going all day out on the hills without needing a snack before dinner. Diane will make you feel very welcome as a guest and will cater for your every need. We have stopped here several times now... More

We have just enjoyed our third visit to Diane and Ians lovely guest house. This time we took our two friends who enjoyed it as much as we do. It is in a great location just a five minute walk to keswick town centre. Lovely rooms and the breakfast certainly is "An All Day Breakfast" . Diane uses all the... More
