A truly great place to stay. Perfect in every way, a gem in the Northern Lakes. All I can say is stay there, you won't be disappointed. Comfortable beds, fantastic breakfast, local produce and so tasty. Thanks Chris and Roy.

I stayed here in February 2013 with my partner. It was an absolute joy. Friendly hosts. Comfortable rooms, although perhaps a little 'tight' for a someone 6 foot tall. Delicious breakfast. Cosy wood burning stove in lovely lounge. Great location with stunning views. Couldn't have asked for much more except for a few more days.

We stayed for 2 nights from 6th - 8th August in the twin bedded room. Willow Cottage is a place to relax and enjoy the peaceful surroundings of Bassenthwaite Village and the Northern Lakes. Chris has personalised all the public rooms with cross stitch work, 'nick-nacks' and other various items of furniture which blend superbly with the ambience of the... More

My friend and I leased both rooms during our 3 night stay here so we had the entire place to ourselves. Chris and Roy are wonderful hosts and couldn't be more helpful. The decorating is exquisite and the breakfast was wonderful. The little sunroom out back was the perfect place to have a cup of tea in the afternoon after... More

We have stayed at Willow Cottage for numerous years, visiting in the autumn and spring. We can think of no better place which can offer such a warm friendly welcome and five star comforts. The two bedrooms with en suite are delightfully decorated with personal touches to enhance the decor. Chris and Roy have recently built a new garden room... More

We have stayed at Willow Cottage twice a year for the last 16 years! And when we visit the Lakes we wouldn't stay anywhere else. It is the most perfect Bed and Breakfast. We were fortunate enough to stay in Willow Cottage on our first trip to the Lakes. It is in a lovely small village just outside of Keswick. Chris and Roy are such a lovely couple and were so friendly and welcoming. They were always willing to help out in planning day trips and hikes and gave fabulous recommendations for pubs... More

The B&B is clean, very well decorated, pretty and there is everything you need. It would be really good to come as a four because there is a sweet sitting room with a log burner, that was lit... We have had many lovely weekends at Willow Cottage since our first visit 11 years ago. It is the most relaxing country cottage you can imagine. Beautifully cooked breakfasts with eggs from the henhouse, walk them off up a hill or round a lake, then the village pub in the evening. Roy and Chris are helpful and friendly hosts. They... More
