This didn’t get off to a good start. The room was apparently non-smoking, but the room absolutely stank of smoke! So, given that someone had been smoking in it, why not clean is properly and rid it of the stench of smoke???? I have no idea why this place offers rooms given that it is so close to noise. Yes,... Dear Keith We are a non-smoking hotel therefore none of our rooms should ever smell of smoke, we make sure all of our rooms are cleaned to a very high standard. On arrival if you had notified us a problem with your room, we could have looked into rectifying this issue for you. Unfortunately one of the draw-backs of being... More

Good central location in Keswick hotel staff very nice and welcoming. Rooms were nice with comfy bed and good shower. Stayed Friday and Saturday - noisy on the Saturday night between 3 and 4 am due to nightclub closing I now know why the earplugs were in the bathroom! Food was good at breakfast and dinner although service quite slow... More

Lunch today for 4 adults and an 8 month baby. Staff were superb providing high chair and heating up baby food. On top of that superb lunch with probably the best sandwich I have ever had , salmon fish fingers with a lovely fresh salad and skinny chips! Great food and hot drinks for 40£ with excellent service. In middle January I was visiting The Kings Arms hotel for lunch. I was chose chef Daniels recommendation of the week-roasted cod fillet, served with a smoked bacon and spring onion mash, Irish sea mussel broth and seasonal vegetables. Portion was massive , and was taste excellent.

I'm not reviewing rooms as we didn't stay we just came to eat here. We walked into the restaurant to a gathering of staff in the corner who just looked at us as if we were interupting them. I asked if we seat ourselves to then be taken around the corner, we couldn't see anyone they couldn't see us. We... More

We stayed in Keswick just before Christmas as a treat and I managed to get us a deal on the price of the room. As such I wasn't expecting it to be very exciting but I was pleasantly surprised throughout our stay. The room was really well-appointed with lovely thick, satiny cotton bedsheets, lots of local tourist information, beautiful fluffy... More

I stayed here in September while walking the Cumbria Way with my dog. The place is very dog friendly - was even given a dog in room sign to stick on the door! Dogs are allowed in the bar, and I was also allowed to have breakfast in the bar so I could bring my dog down with me. I... More
