Good food, comparable prices, excellent service. We went midweek and was fairly busy but still the service was good. Lovely setting, with real fire in the bar area and free wifi. Nice bright interior and modern restaurant at the back. Good size portions very happy overall. Will return when in Keswick again.

With over 100 restaurants in Keswick we picked the Kings arms The Sunday roast was so tough we asked for steak knives to cut it The plates were cold gravy look warm Told waitress when she came over said sorry that was it Nothing else said no compensation at all, not even the offer of coffee VERY DISAPPOINTING at £9.95... I was in the town on business and popped in to the hotel bar for a drink. Very cosy atmosphere, friendly staff, great location. After a swift drink I decided to ask about accommodation. The gentleman I spoke to, I assumed was the manager was very helpful. I checked in to my pleasant room with a decent TV and I'm... More

We called for lunch today and we were very pleased with the place. It is a busy hotel, and very clean and tidy, with traditional decor. There is something for everyone on the comprehensive menu. I had the chicken supreme, which was a perfectly cooked piece of fillet, served with savoury scallop potatoes, fantastic tasty grilled balsamic tomatoes, and a... More

Had a lovely 2 night stay in this refurbished hotel smack bang in the middle of the main street . Only drawback was no lift so could be difficult for disabled visitors as there are a couple of staircases and no ground floor rooms. Rooms refurbished to a very high standard..... the bed was Superking size and our bathroom was... More

We went to this hotel/pub after being treated like rubbish in Sweeny's Bar Restaurant earlier in the evening (read our review). Anyway we walked in and asked if food was still being served? "It is but I'm afraid the restaurant is full. But if you can find a seat, you can and order at the bar" was the polite reply.... More

Booked 2 nights with friends. We got a smaller room as we had 2 dogs so we found it cramped. Rooms decorated to very good standard. Staff very friendly. Food excellent. Evening meal had £20 limit but more than sufficient. Bonus was that you could use it to eat in other hotels belonging group & the pizzeria next door in... More

Another wonderful weekend in the Lakes, this time we stayed at the Kings Arms in Keswick. It was a wonderful weekend. The whole place place has been tastefully refurbished and is a credit to the hardworking staff who put in a great deal of effort to ensure everything is A1 and it was. We found the staff delightful from the... More

Nice and clean, and reasonable food. I'll start by saying that much, but then it goes a bit wrong for me. Stayed one night in a twin room with my dad, after taking him to the theatre by the lake. When we got back we went to the bar, which appeared to be full of the barman's mates. No dramas... More

We were walking around Keswick looking for somewhere to stay as we didn't like the campsite we had booked and came across this gem. Our room was lovely (room 7) comfy bed, nice clean shower room - only draw back is there is a nightclub at the rear and when it was kicking out time there was loads of noise.... More

Dear Nicola R Thank you for taking the time to leave us a review from your recent stay It’s great to hear that you were happy with your stay and that Agnes our receptionist looked after you. Unfortunately one of the draw-backs of being a town centre hotel is the surrounding noise that may sometimes occur. Unfortunately this is out... More
