Had a two night break at Birch How And it was brilliant going back next month. The bed and breakfast is well located in the heart of Keswick. The breakfast was fantastic and the room very clean and comfy.

Had another enjoyable break at the birch how b and b in keswick. Been three times now and dont think I'd stay anywhere else now. Carolyn makes you feel at home and she didnt mind our dog joining us. Lovely big room overlooking fitz park. Nice breakfast too. Really handy being so near to the park for your doggy walks.... More

Although we only live 30 miles from Keswick we decided to stay over at the last minute after walking with some friends. I knocked on door and was met by a smiling host which is always a good sign. I asked could we have a room for the night we where given the large front bedroom with view across the... More

First I would like to mention what an excellent host Carolyn is, her knowledge of the fells and local area is invaluable when planning days out around the unpredictable weather conditions. This is our third trip to Birch How so it is a place that we enjoy staying. My reasons for choosing Birch How is it is located close to... More

My husband and I have stayed here several times before on our way to Scotland and really love the place. Location wise you are just a few minutes walk into town but it is still very quiet. Rooms are very bright and clean with comfy beds. Rooms at the back are very quiet. Cracking breakfasts ideal to keep you going... More

I can't imagine a more delightful place to stay. Very homely and welcoming atmosphere, with very comfortable rooms and excellent breakfasts! Carolyn was always so helpful and ready with ideas for walks which fitted the bill exactly. The other guests there seemed similarly happy. I'm not a doggy person but there is a beautiful saluki who adds to the charm,... More

Have stayed here twice now due to dog friendly status. Location next to Fitz park most convenient and only five minute walk to town centre. Availability of car parking also a big plus. Last stay was for two nights, tried to stay for third but fully booked, Carolyn made calls to associates to help us out, much appreciated. Would recommend... More

We were already booked for two-night stay at Birch How prior to Bank Holiday weekend, bolstered by the excellent reviews on Trip Advisor. I am delighted to report that the review was indeed a one-off: people do say it as they... More
