Booked via living social. 2 nights DBB very good value. Dinner was good quality, choice was limited. However excellently presented and felt very full by end of meal. Minor gripe was the courses were a bit rushed.Although we didn't ask for a rest between courses. Breakfast was very good, the full Cumbrian was one of the best "full" breakfasts I have ever... More

My wife and I booked into the Skiddaw on Saturday 12th April and were greeted by really friendly staff , we thought the hotel looked dated but was clean apart from the floor creaking everywhere you walked . Anyway , after a nice look around Keswick and a lovely meal in a nearby pub we decided to retire for the... More

My wife and I along with our Daughter visited the Skiddaw Hotel for 2nights. We were allocated rooms 14 and number 2, these were both classed as standard rooms. Whilst they have not yet been refurbished they are very clean and reasonably furnished, room 14 was without doubt the better room, it was of a good size with double aspect... More

I have always wanted to stay at the Skiddaw Hotel and finally got a surprise birthday trip there in March . This is a traditional 'walkers' hotel with a nice feel and comfortable , well furnished modern en suite rooms. Situated in the centre of Keswick there is always a pleasant buzz around the conservatory bar which faces the market... More

Stayed for one night to enable us to visit family locally, rooms are ok and functional, but for us the staff made our stay, they were so friendly and helpful, nothing was too much trouble, and we would stay again because of this.
