I like the place but we had to drive 40 miles to scaffel pike which was the reason for going to the Lake District.when I research for a place to stay near the highest mountain in England this place came up as something like 8-10 miles away so I was a bit annoyed to have travelled 40 miles especially after... Hi guys - The Grange is only 7.9 miles from the start of the Scafell Pike climb from Seatoller - I think you must have started from the other side of the mountain. Starting from the West, you'd certainly be better off staying in Wasdale, which is a long drive from here. If you'd had a chat with us about... More

We booked on-line and had good e=mail communications from the hotel including places to go and to eat. We had a good welcome and more advice on two new places to eat in Keswick (we ate in one which was really good). The room was clean and very comfortable. As per the description, the hand basin is in the room,... More

A great place to enjoy the Lake District! Our room was very comfortable. Room 11 is situated down a private hallway so that you feel like you're in your own corner of the house. Each morning, my husband and I tried something different on the breakfast menu and we were not disappointed. The breakfast room is so beautiful with a... More

We have just returned from a 3 night stay. What a lovely place this is. Made to feel very welcome from all staff. Little added touches such as Coffee and Cake by reception and Roses for my Wedding Anniversary /Birthday treat. We stayed in room 1 which was huge and so comfortable. Breakfast was very tasty and they couldn't do... More

This B&B is quite upmarket and set off the road out of the main town area so traffic noise is not an issue. The rooms (I saw 3 of them) are a fair size, comfortable and well appointed with bathrooms en suite. Some rooms have a bath so I suggest you request that when you book to avoid disappointment. The... My wife and I stayed at this fantastic Guest House from 18th to 22nd of May this year for a break covering her birthday. Never been to the lakes before and the area is stunning, as is this place. The room are large, spotless and very well furnished with great views the surrounding area. You won't get a better breakfast... More

The problem with staying in the centre of Keswick is that it's (a) noisy and (b) very difficult to park. This property sits about 10 minutes' walk downhill into the centre of the town (15 minutes' walk uphill back!) and is therefore very peaceful, with lovely views across to the fells. Service is impeccable and the hosts can't do enough... More

In Keswick TI trying to chose a B&B in a hurry. Well, we made the right choice. A lovely place. Very welcoming and warm, we needed to get out of the cold and wind in May. Had room 7 a good big bed and a lot of room. Bath with hand held shower for rinsing your hair. Breakfast very good... More
