We booked the hotel in January for a September walking weekend and were delighted by the welcome, the friendly staff, the accommodation and the carefully prepared and and attactively presented food. It was a long way to travel for a weekend walking but well worth it. more

From the friendly welcome, nice bedroom, super food, & excellent service this is a hotel to revisit & recommend. With plans to continue extending & updating this hotel this may become even better value for money. The location in the Borrowdale Valley is outstanding. more

Friendly, helpful, professional staff made our visit a pleasure. The complimentary tea and biscuits in the lounge on arrival was appreciated. Stayed at many hotels in Keswick and Borrowdale and this is best all round hotel so far. Room, food, public areas and staff could not have been better, even the weather stayed good! The hotel is situated in a glorious setting on the edge of the village of Grange in an acre of beautifully kept grounds, well away from any traffic noise.
