We've visited this B&B a couple of times now and are already looking forward to getting back! Always a warm welcome with a cup of tea and home-made biscuits and the rooms are very comfortable as are the beds which is particularly important to me. The award-winning breakfast is truly delicious and you can enjoy wonderful views of Skiddaw whilst... More

This was our 8th stay in order to go to the beer festival and as usual Diane and Andrew were lovely and welcoming. Breakfast was up to it's usual very high standard. The house itself is very clean and comfortable with fantastic views. Located outside the main town which is a plus however within easy walking distance, even after a... More

This little guest house is simply unbelievably cozy and comfortable. I booked single room (number 4) via booking.com and really did not expect to find this newly refurbished lovely little place with a beautiful view, heated swimming pool and lots of charm. The lounge is very welcoming and the hosts Andrew and Diane are warm, pleasant and welcoming couple. The... More

Our second stay at Skiddaw Grove and definitely not our last! Our hosts were perfect and absolutely nothing was a problem for them. Our room was spotlessly clean, as were the bed sheets and towels. We ordered the full English for breakfast which was enjoyed by all and set us all up for the day ahead. Diane also made us... More

Our walking party of 6 stayed here last week for 4 nights - we all had a super stay with Andrew and Diane - lovely hosts. Nothing was too much trouble - they are friendly, pleasant and helpful. They have lots of local knowledge and will happily give you info. We booked tickets for the Theatre at the Lake and... More

We rented an apartment that comfortably slept a couple and three children, and a separate twin room. It was warm, tastefully decorated and really thoughtfully equipped throughout. As a base for exploring the northern Lakes, both walking and eating out, you couldn't beat this. Our hosts are friendly and efficient, parking is included, and it's an easy stroll into town.... More

I was 1.5 days late arriving due to the airlines/weather, but after the hellacious trip over, this was exactly what I needed. Andrew and Diane were very understanding of my late arrival at odd times and graciously welcomed me. The room was perfect - looking out the window every morning at the mountains was like having a picture on the... More

I have just realised that after four years of staying here. I have not written a review! This is a great place to stay as a base for walking in North of the Lakes, though of course everywhere is no more than an hour away. The welcome is friendly. the couple that own the Guest House try really hard to... More

In the last 6 months 4 generations of our family have stayed here. One apartment has a level entrance from the car park so was ideal for our older members. The apartments are both warm, comfortable and well equipped. My only quibble would be a couple more serving size dishes in the kitchen. Andrew and Diane are helpful and informative.... More

Hidden away from the central town of Keswick yet SO close. We had the apartment which housed 5 of us and was absolutely perfect. Consisted of a living room, large kitchen and two en-suite rooms. One room had a double bed and the other had one double and one single. The view from the double bed room was beautiful as... More
