Very friendly welcome from Lance, who has lots of knowledge of the hills - handy even if you already know your way around the Lakes. Everything seemed to be freshly decorated and was certainly spotless. Breakfast was excellent too. It's a short walk to go into town to eat - and you'll probably not want to drive anyway as parking... More

This was my first stay at Littlefields - couldnt fault it at all - spotlessly clean room with everything I needed. Great breakfast and a very welcoming and accomodating host. Will definately return and recommend it to others. Thanks Lance.

We've just spent another great weekend at Littlefield. Lovely room with King size bed, nice soft sheets, fabulously powerful shower, wonderful breakfast. We've stayed at Littlefield many times both with Lance and the previous owners as we like the location - can usually get the car parked close by. Short stroll to Fitz Park, shops and pubs. Lance is a... More

This was my second stay at Littlefield. Lance and Sonny gave my friend and me a really warm welcome. Again the rooms were spotless, clean and comfortable, with lovely views. We had Buttermere and Rydal. This is a fab location, a 5 minute walk into town and to Fitz Park, which is really handy if you take your dog with... More

We stayed for the weekend of the Keswick beer festival (second time we had been to the festival), when the town is heaving, and we were happy to have found this B&B, as my friend and I were lookng for a twin room. It is pleasant, a convenient location close to the town centre, street parking nearby was straightforward enough... More

Lance has done such an excellent job with this B&B! What a lovely place to stay! This was probably the room I felt most comfortable in during a 6 week tour of the UK. The room was spotless whilst still homely, the bed was clean, and very cosy and comfortable. Beautiful mountain views from our bathroom were a morning bonus... More

This was my first stay at Littlefield and it definitely won't be my last. Lance gave us a warm welcome and went out of his way to make our stay enjoyable. He made us toast extra early (we left the B&B at 6.30am after the first night. I stayed in 'Derwentwater' and the room was lovely, very clean with an... More

We were taken care of by Lance owner of the B & B in every way. Delicious breakfast, comfortable and clean rooms (fab shower!) He gave us information about the area including maps and details of where best to walk/trek in the area. Even helping us out when my girlfriend needed to hire boots. Nothing was too much for Lance... 2nd stay at Littlefield and every bit as enjoyable each time. The first time we stayed was in October 2013 and we stayed in different rooms each time. Excellent rooms, excellent host and quite frankly the best poached eggs I've ever had! If you want a good nights sleep, fantastic breakfast and a lovely host then this is the guesthouse... More

We stayed at Littlefield for 3 nights at the end of December 2013 with the last night being the 31st. The room was clean, spacious and very comfortable. So comfortable in fact that we failed to see in the new year and spent the evening in the room with a bottle or 2 of wine - it was raining you... More
