Just returned from another stay at The Pitcairn. Once again my wife and I have had a really great time. From the moment we arrived we were made to feel very welcome by Heather and Steve . As far as hosts go I don't think these 2 can be beaten . They are a very friendly couple and are great... More

We had a wonderful stay at Pitcairn house. Our room was spotless, tasteful and very comfortable. The breakfast was yummy and location perfect (very quiet with views of the mountains but 2 minutes walk from the center). Heather and Steve were the perfect hosts, very warm and friendly, and even made us packed lunches and a flask of tea for... More

Lovely rooms and excellent food. We really enjoyed our weekend here. We stayed with three children and the family room was ideal. We had four people in one room and the owners were very accommodating about the extra bed for the children. We would rebook again.

We spent New Year at Pitcairn House, and were delighted with our stay. Heather and Steve are lovely hosts, our room and all the accommodation was clean and comfy, and the breakfasts were great. We had three days good walking, in very mixed weather, and made very good use of their drying room. I'm sure we'll be back.

The weather during your stay was not at its best so we are sure you were quite glad of our drying room, a facility that not all guest house can offer. We are so pleased you enjoyed your stay with us over new year and very much appreciate your lovely comments and review. Now that you have got your "mountain... More

It was a last minute booking on new years eve which I was really surprised at getting lodgings in an ideal location just minutes off the square. We received a warm welcome and shown straight to our room, the room was lovely, clean and comfortable. The breakfasts were beautifully cooked and presented well, Heather served the meals and was always... More

Happy new year to you both and hope the camper is all fixed and ready for 2015. So pleased you enjoyed your stay with us and Bernie could completely relax knowing she did not have to cook any breakfasts. We appreciate all you comments and thank you for giving us such a thoughtful review. We hope the next time you... More

Yet another amazing weekend spent at Pitcairn House in Keswick. As always Steve & Heather were very welcoming. Lovely clean room, friendly atmosphere, tasty breakfast, oh and not to forget Steve's delicious homemade flap jack that kept us going throughout our 7 hour hill walk...once again an all round delightful stay! We would recommend Pitcairn House to anybody visiting Keswick... More

We can't recommend Pitcairn House highly enough. We've just returned from yet another stay there and once again it was fantastic. Heather and Steve are the perfect hosts! The breakfast is lovely, the rooms are spotless and the location is perfect for either a leisurely stroll round Keswick or to go off walking for the day. And Steve and Heather... More

Heather and Steve make you feel right at home and part of the family. We've stayed a few times and all the rooms we've stayed in are clean and cosy. The cooked breakfast is excellent and sets you up for the day whatever you have planned. You are only five minutes walk from the centre of town. We would highly... More

My husband and I recently returned to Keswick after 5 year absence and were pleased to get one of the last rooms at Pitcairn bed and breakfast. Beautiful, cosy room in the eaves with a view across the rooftops to the gorgeous hills and mountains of the Lakes. After perfect full English, then fresh strawberries, persimmon fruit and yoghurt and... More

As you noticed and commented the views from our top floor rooms are wonderful and although they are not en-suite they are still extremely cosy rooms. We are glad you enjoyed your return to Keswick and the 2 days in our home; Maybe next time you could experience our room 3 which is not only en-suite but has fantastic views... More

The owners, Heather and Steve, really nice couple, made our group of guys feel welcome. Dried our stuff out when we got drenched and generally made our stay like a home from home. Recommended and we will be back for more lakeland weather :)

So many of our guests are thankful of our drying room and glad we were able to make your stay more enjoyable despite the weather. Although we can guarantee the hospitality at Pitcairn House the weather is another matter but at least it did not seem to spoil your visit too much. Perhaps next time you will be lucky and... More
