Booked a single night's stay here with my son at a short notice. Excellent welcome from Sue and Dave and every effort made to meet our needs - from a lovely packed lunch to take up Blancathra to finding somewhere quiet he could do some studying in teh evening towards forthcoming exams. Nice room and excellent breakfast. There's plenty of... More

We were part way through the Cumbria Way. The weather was awful and we arrived wet and weary after a long day on the fells to a most amazing welcome from Sue and Dave. Rosie our collie was also welcomed with warm towels. We relaxed in the wonderful beds and ate homemade bread to accompany our full English breakfast. We... More

My sister and I stayed here for two nights this weekend and had a great time. Sue and Dave couldn't have been more welcoming and Kyle the lovely dog was the star of the show!! The twin room was lovely with cosy, comfortable beds and the location couldn't have been better. The centre of Keswick was only five minutes walk.... More

Stayed at Larry's Lodge for 1 night last weekend with the dog. Few bad points, but also some positives. The owners were welcoming and very helpful to suggest places to eat in the evening. The rooms are very small with only just space to walk around the outside of the bed. The walls are quite thin also so can hear... More

Dear Jason, thank you for your review. We always welcome feed back from guests and listen to suggestions. Every season we replace bits and pieces, last year everything in Room 2 and 3 was replaced apart from carpet and Duvet, at present Room 4 and 5 are being re-decorated, and when that task has been done, the duvet and carpet... Larry's lodge was a well situated B&B in Keswick town centre. It is near all local walking routes and close to local amenities. The welcome was warm and friendly and the rooms were well prepared for our stay . The B&B is dog friendly and they really care for your pets like they are their own. The breakfast was really... I stayed at Larry's Lodge with my family for a weekend in August, we were looking for somewhere cosy, comfortable and dog friendly. This B & B was perfect, the owners were so welcoming and friendly and incredibly helpful. The bedrooms were spotless and breakfast was delicious. Great value for money! Would recommend it to anyone!

Sorry but I found staying here truly disappointing. As I have a dog, we are limited where we can stay but this place was awful. Uncomfortable beds (so soft I fell off!) tiny tiny rooms that have evidently been cut in two to make more money and the breakfast was rubbish - this bread was bought in not home baked... More

Thank you so much for finally taking the time to write a review for Larry's Lodge. We are pleased to hear you have now recovered sufficiently from amnesia to tell the world that you actually fell out of bed as you forgot to mention this little fact when you stayed with us. We don't advertise filter coffee but we do... More

First time to this B&B having felt a change required from our last visit. Have to say some of the friendliest owners we have met, also that they are happy to be seen and have a natter... have stayed in a few B&B's in the past where you never see anyone apart from at Breakfast so a nice change. Very... More

Stayed one night with Sue and David. Rooms are small compared to what we are used to but the room was very clean and everything looked good and worked well. Breakfast was good and plentiful. Stairs are very tight if you have heavy if large suitcases. Well located for exploring the area and the city centre. Parking is on the... More
