Right from the moment you book Amanda and Ross make you feel welcome. We arrived on Sunday to an offer of a cup of tea along with a piece of yummy Christmas cake which after a hard days walking was very nice. What a start to a 1 night break! The room (no4) was fantastic with an exceptional view despite... More

Had a one night stay here at the beginning of the month. Managed to park right outside which was great. Fantastically warm welcome from our hosts. Gorgeous cake greeted us in our lovely sized room together with a freshly made cuppa. Hosts extremely helpful regarding places to eat in town which was an easy few minutes walk. Slept really well... One of the best B&B' s we have ever stayed in. Spotless, beautifully presented room, delicious home made cake waiting for us on arrival, and in a quiet location just a few minutes walk from the town centre. Amanda was helpful and friendly and recommend a lovely restaurant where we ate that night ( The Lakes Bistro). Breakfast was excellent... More

A quiet and clean place with excellent choice for breakfast. Walking distance to the city as well as the lake. Thanks to Amanda providing us with some practical tips for our short visit not forgetting your help to arrange for the reasonable priced taxi to the train station at Pemrith. Both my mum-in-law and I enjoyed our stay.

Very friendly and attentive owners, and clearly very naturally so. We were made to feel very welcome from the word go. Cakes in the bedroom, yummy. And super breakfast with so much flexibility (and not a single eyebrow raised at our slightly odd requests)! If we were coming back to Keswick, we'd certainly stay here again.

Was visiting the Lake District for 3 days during our 3 week holiday from australia. Chose it randomly online. Excellent location with a lovely big double room. Made to feel very welcome - breakfasts are superb - love the daily special. Also the homemade cakes in the room every afternoon a nice touch. Would highly recommend.

I loved my stay at Dolly Waggon! I stayed here for three nights whilst working in Keswick and it was by far the nicest place I've stayed in for work. Me and my colleague were made to feel very at ease and Amanda bent over backwards for us. I loved the ethos of the place (I works as an environmental... More

Very welcoming. Cup of tea on arrival. The room was very comfortable and just right for us. The B&B is only a few minutes walk from the centre of Keswick a truly remarkable town in itself. Amanda's breakfast was perfect. A good choice of cereal and hot food. There was only 2 couples there including us and the conversation over... More

We stopped two days at the Dolly Waggon over the May Day bank holiday. We were on our bikes which sometimes can cause problems but not at the Dolly Waggon. On arrival we were helped in with our bikes and shown to our room by our welcoming host Amanda. The room was advertised as a twin but had a single... More
