We stayed here at short notice as there was a convention in Keswick and accommodation was very scarce. Fortunately, the owner Howard called us back with a late cancellation and we managed to book two double rooms. A very nice touch that set the tone for the full weekend. On arrival we were greeted by the very pleasant and helpful... More

We choose to stay here on an annual basis. Howard and Helen are warm and welcoming hosts. The facilities are clean and comfortable. Breakfast is efficiently served. We have never been disappointed and would thoroughly recommend Hazeldene.......booked again for 2015 !!.

We have just returned from a 3 night stay at the Hazeldene and have booked ahead for next year as it was so good! The room we stayed in was faultless with a view over Derwentwater. I really don't want to share which room we had, as we don't want anyone else to book it for when we want it!!... More

Paul and Rosie. In week 27, we stayed 3 nights at the Hazeldene, having had it recommended by a friend. The hosts are very friendly and couldn't do enough for you. The guest house was immaculate, inside and out. Breakfast was lovely and tasty, and lots of it. We would highly recommend the Hazeldene as THE place to stay.

We have stayed at Hazeldene on several occasions and booked in again for a short break 17-19 June 2014. The proprietors, Helen and Howard were as friendly and welcoming as ever, the room (different from ones we have stayed in before) was well-furnished with excellent facilities (all rooms are en-suite), including free Wi-Fi with strong signal (essential these days). Stayed for three nights end May/ beginning of June and it was fab. Overlooking the park; very short walk into town, the theatre and down to the lake, it was the perfect place for our short break. Service was friendly, lovely breakfast and the whole place spotlessly clean. Would highly recommend to anyone.

We selected this B&B because of the good reviews on Tripadvisor and we couldn't have been more pleased. It is beautifully presented with great views over the park to the mountains. Lovely gardens and a very well maintained building, spotlessly clean. Hosts Howard and Helen are very friendly and so helpful and that made the stay even better. Five minutes... More

We stayed at Hazeldene to celebrate our 25th wedding anniversary and we were very impressed with the lovely Dene suite, very spacious, very comfortable, spotlessly clean, plenty of complementary tea and coffee, and the views were fabulous. Breakfast was excellent too, lots of cereal, fresh fruit, yogurts, seeds, nuts, dried fruit followed by full English breakfast (cooked beautifully) and also... More
