a lovely welcoming place to stay. breakfast excellent a perfect start to the day with a great choice on offer. i will stay at the ferndene in the future and have already recommended it to friends. Richard and Christine are a lovely couple and very helpful.

The welcome and the facilities at this bed and breakfast were amazing. Richard and Christine were excellent hosts, offering a fantastic breakfast and great advice about the local attractions. They made the stay feel very personal, it felt as if we were staying with family. Great value for money and a great location. I would recommend this place to anyone.

Can not fault this bed & breakfast. We stayed in the annexe (as we always have). Beds are clean and comfortable. Good facilities - tea, coffee and biscuits. This is our third visit to the Fernedene and it gets better each time. We were allocated the room in the annex where we have stayed before and it now has a kingsize bed in it. We have just returned from our stay with Richard and Christine, and wow what super host and they go out way to make you feel welcome. They have great knowledge of the area and suggestion of what to do, go, eat etc..... We stayed in the annex and it was lovely, clean, tidy, modern aswell as relaxing place to lay... More

Very happy with our stay at Ferndene; Richard and Christine were very welcoming. Good food, very clean and modern room (in the annexe) with a super location for walking, eating and drinking. It was great to park the car and leave it for a few days. (Good biscuits and tea and coffee also provided in the room!)

Stayed for 2 nts for a wedding near Keswick. Dined in Keswick on the 1st night at a hotel recommended by the B&B owners and it was lovely. Plenty of nice pubs to choose from too. The owners were friendly and welcoming and their local knowledge is second to none. Breakfast was gorgeous and the room was clean and comfy.... More
