We both enjoyed our stay at Ferndene, it is a very homely b&b and Christine was very welcoming. It is situated close to restaurants, shops, bus stops and Derwent water. The views from our windows were stunning, which made the trek up the many stairs worthwhile! more

Having never been to the Lakes before we chose Ferndene on the recommendation of a friend. It didn't disappoint! We stayed in this B & B for 2 nights over a busy October Weekend. The owners are very friendly and accommodating. I've stayed in a number of B+Bs in Keswick over the past few years, and this was the best. Really friendly people, very clean and nicely done rooms, great food. It's pretty good value for a single traveller as well as the supplements are low. more
