The guest house is situated quite close to the centre of Keswick, maybe 5 or 10 minutes walk depending on your pace. Our room was for 3 people, we had plenty of space and was really clean, it had a TV / DVD combined, with plenty of films on offer to watch, essential when you have a bored 10 year... More

Had a great 3 nights at The Anchorage. The house was beautiful and well away from the crowds of other B&Bs. It was good to have parking facilities to the rear of the building. Room was great and it was lovely to have Linda cooking breakfast on a morning. Yasmeen loved the full breakfast and hubby went up a couple... More

Friendly welcome even at the late arrival time. Clean welcoming room with fresh up-to-date decor. Comfortable bed, small but adequate on-suite. Good choice of food for breakfast. Great DVD collection for evening viewing Great location for a short stroll into the centre of Keswick.

We stayed for 2 nights over Easter as part of a walking holiday up nearby Cat Bells and the surrounding area. We arrived and were greeted by the very friendly staff who showed us to our room which was everything you'd want- clean, comfy, en-suite. The room was well worth the price we paid for it and a TV, hair-dryer,... More

If solo, you may well be allocated tiny garret with cold whistling through window pane and bed in eaves. Bumped heads. Shower either cold or scalding. Bed and shower disappointing, breakfast good.

This is the second occasion we have stayed in this hotel. I booked the stay through Guestlink which was a painless transaction. We were made very welcome on our arrival and shown to our room which had all of the facilities you could require including a built in DVD in the flat screen TV. There was a comprehensive library of... More

We stayed at The Anchorage for our annual October three night trip. First stay here and has been lovely. The welcome was friendly and cheerful, our hostess more than happy to oblige. The first impression is of a bright and clean entrance which flowed through to the rest of the house. Our room was lovely, roomy and very comforatble, usual... More

If you choose to stay at the Anchorage, you will not be disappointed. Clean rooms and good breakfast, the owners were very accommodating and friendly, would definately book again, also only a couple of minutes walk to town and free parking.
