We stayed for one night to visit Keswick and to see The 39 Steps at the Theatre by the Lake. Lovely guest house with very welcoming hosts (Sally and Keith). Excellent afternoon tea and cake (Victoria Sponge) and a great breakfast, with mixed fresh fruit options (blueberries, kiwi, melons etc) and a lovely full English too. Fresh coffee (a bit... More

A warm welcome, lovely room, spotlessly clean, great breakfast. What more could you want for a weekend break in the Lakes ? Oh I know, tea and homemade cake to greet you after a day's walking ! Sally and Keith have got it just right, and we hope to be back soon.

We have been coming here for the last seven beer festivals so we always thought it was worth returning. Keith and Sally have have had the B&B for just under a year now. We were all thorougly impressed with the welcome - fresh home made cake each day, the breakfast and the friendliness and general service they provided. Thoroughly recommend... More

Thank for the really kind comments. It was great fun looking after a full house over the Beer Festival weekend and making sure everyone had their needs met and attended to. We really enjoyed the Saturday breakfast, which I think ran for nearly 4 hours. There is a great variety of things to do in this wonderful town and we... More

Stayed here for just one night after doing some walking with my dad. On arrival we were greeted with delicious home made fruit scones by the friendly and chatty owners. Much appreciated after a day on the hills! The room was lovely and had everything we needed, including a lovely selection of teas. The bathroom was huge and we definitely... More

Having stayed at the Glencoe several times before, this was our first visit with Keith and Sally at the helm. We had a nice, warm welcome on arrival. After depositing luggage in our rooms, we sampled Sally's cake of the day - it was heavenly and so fresh it was still warm. The rooms were all very clean and comfortable... More

Keswick has to be one of the loveliest places in the UK and finding good accommodation is not hard - but finding brilliant accommodation - where the owners have that certain touch of perfect care and fantastic warmth is somewhat harder. If you look at the website for this guest house - it is what you get and indeed you... More

I have lost count of the number of times I've been here. At least 20 probably more. Never been let down. Never had anything but a great breakfast with locally sourced produce. Never had an uncomfortable night or disturbed sleep. Never had to park more than a few yards away. Rooms are always clean, bright and airy. Sally and Keith... More

We stayed at Glencoe for one night and wish we could've stayed longer. Sally was an excellent host (Keith was away when we visited) and was extremely welcoming as we walked in off the street. We are very glad she had one room available for us as the location was great for exploring Keswick and the surrounding areas of interest... More

A very warm welcome from Keith and Sally. Enthusiastic about the outdoors and ready to welcome hikers and cyclists. The English breakfast was fantastic to set us up for the day on the mountain (gluten free diets were kindly catered for). And Sally's incredible (gluten free) carrot cake is worth the visit alone :-) Our en-suite room was very clean,... More

We are really pleased your stay met your expectations. I also think the gluten free carrot cake is superb. We are seeing more gluten free guests and we are pleased to offer a range of gluten free options along with the carrot cake, biscuits, bread (white & brown) and sausages. Thanks again and we hope to see you again soon. More

Wonderful beakfast and carrot cake made by the very welcoming couple. B&B near Keswick town center with lot of nice shops, pubs and restaurants. Lots of cyclists doing the coast to coast staying there.
