This home from home bed and breakfast was a perfect choice for an overnight stay for a single female. On arrival I was received warmly and asked what cake I would like baked?!!! A few hours later when I arrived back I was seduced by a very homely smell of scones. I have stayed in lots of 5* hotels and... More

I am a seasoned traveller - both for business and pleasure purposes. I have just stopped at the Glencoe Guest House with a friend - I am moved to make this entry because I was so impressed with the accommodation, food, and overall professionalism and customer care of the owners. The property is situated near to Keswick town centre -... More

I have just spent 3 days in Keswick. I stayed in a twin room with a friend. We walked up Skiddaw and had all our cobwebs blown away. Sally indulges her guests with bespoke cakes. Keith serves a cracking breakfast. Big comfy and well fitted rooms. With new large bathrooms. It's a superb place to stay if walking in the... More

Keith and Sally, your hosts, make you feel welcome from the moment you step through the door. My single room was spotlessly clean and a nice size. There was a kettle and a teapot (a nice touch I thought) and a variety of teas, coffee, biscuits etc.; as a bonus there were freshly made cakes readily available throughout the day... More

We stayed at the Glencoe in October and it was a great find. Our hosts Keith and Sally could not do too much for us including making fantastic cakes. The breakfast was all we needed to set up us up for a full day's walking and Keith and Sally's knowledge of the area and which walks would suit us is... More

I stayed at the Glencoe for three nights to do some pre-planned fellwalking. The room was spotless and in a very quiet area of the town. The choice of breakfast was one of the best I have come across and nothing was too much trouble for Keith and Sally. The location of the B&B to the town is ideal, not too close... Similar to other reviews - struggled to find a b and B for a single night so we could do an off-road cycle event. Keith and Sally could not have been more helpful - from secure bike storage, to an early morning bowl of porridge and eggs with fresh flapjacks to fortify us for our endeavour! upon our return, we... We visited in September 2014. The quiet rooms are brand new and nicely furnitured. Breakfast is great with a good and fresh selection of food. The host family amazingly friendly and ready to accomdate your wishes.

A fantastic location a few minutes walk from the town centre, where there is access to shops, cafes and activities (bike hire). Plan lots of activities to work off the breakfasts and cakes... they are phenomenal!!! The owners, Sally and Keith, were really welcoming and even had hard to please teenagers saying they want to come back!! Also a big... More

Struggled to find a B & B in Keswick for 1 night the first Sat of half term. Fortunately Glencoe came up trumps! We were given a very friendly welcome by Keith and shown to our small double ensuite room on the second floor. It looked cosy and welcoming but by far the most interesting thing was the homemade cake... More
