Went here for a second stay some years later. Still up to standard and seems to have good bed upgrade. Helpful staff changed rooms for us. Their pub recommendations were superb but one was fully booked up however the station inn at oxenhome was an excellent choice. Didn't use breakfast as away early. The adjacent petrol station has a good... More

The Travel Lodge, Kendal is clean and comfortable for a stopover or short break assuming you appreciate there is no in house catering. You can get a breakfast box for £5 but we were happy with a bacon butty and croissant from the adjacent BP garage. Near to Kendal so eating out not a problem; it is though a short... More

Travelodge have a great formula - if you are travelling for business or pleasure, alone or with a family, they give excellent value for money. The rooms are clean and comfortable, warm and with good facilities. The breakfast options are not to my liking, too much processed food, but they also offer porridge! It is tempting on a long journey... More

We use travelodges a lot but this is one of the best because it is clean and modern and the bed was soooooooooooooo comfortable. Staff were lovely and very helpful. Stayed here for 2 nights and our son was very upset when we had to leave. Well situated to explore the area. Highly recommend.

It was clean, you could request for extra coffee, milk ect. As there have said, they usually have a restaurant for a Hot breakfast, But we just took Cereal/milk. There are no signs for the hotel, if you have SatNav you'll be ok. We left this morning, we had to turn left out of hotel, when we needed to go... More

The room had only one chair and said "so you have a bed to sleep upon what more do you want" There was now where in the vicinity where we could have dinner. We decided to have a cheese burger none left

A last minute booking for a flying visit to family meant that we had our first experience of a Travelodge. This particular lodge was basic but very clean and the rooms quite large. Bathrooms were excellent, (I don't think this place is very old), and the shower was superb. Cheap and easy check-in and all in all a decent nights... More

Overall the hotel was in a great location - when we were able to find it. There were no clear signs at all. There was no hot breakfast or restaurant. Noisy. Smelly bathroom (like urine / sewage) Poor!

We've stayed here before and our visit last week was equally as good. We worked out that we could either book a self catering house / caravan, etc.., or we could stay for a week in a travelodge and eat out every night. This time we paid £130 for 4 nights in Kendal in October half term. At Easter we... More

My wife and I stayed at the Kendal travelodge on Friday 31st as a last minute booking. The place was exceptionally clean and tidy and very comfortable. The staff were very accommodating and we decided to stay a further night based on our experience. We were both very pleased to be in such comfortable surroundings. Many thanks to the Kendal... More
