Just returned from a three night break at the travelodge in kendal. The location excellent, just off the road by kendal and 10 miles from Windermere. The staff at the hotel were very friendly and really helpful. Rooms spotless and the staff kept them that way throughout. We had a great time and would Defo come back again. A Budget... More

Clean comfortable no frills value with excellent bed bathroom and good location. Budget room stay at its best. No catering but shop on site. Excellent location for Kendal & Sizergh with easy access to South Lakes.

nice place for a stop over. In the middle of no where. No bar so if eating out the nearest place by taxi will cost you five pounds. Nothing for children.Free parking. Staff very helpful. Tea and coffee in rooms.

Very comfortable, quiet, warm and hassle free. Easy enough access to the South Lakes with Windermere about 12 miles away. Amazing value for money. Well lit car park. Cannot guarantee the weather though.

Located just outside of Kendal on the A591. Easy approach from the South. If approaching from the North you have to drive past the Lodge by about 200 yards and take the sliproad to the right. NO U TURN is allowed. Turn as if entering the (narrow farm road). Carefully reverse around so that you can head North but BE... More

Our first stay in a Travelodge but as we just wanted an overnight, mid-journey stop without frills, seemed a sensible idea; we were not disappointed. Our room was spacious, well-furnished, and spotlessly clean. Warm too, with controls which put us in charge of our preferred temperature. The bathroom fittings looked new, and everything worked effortlessly. The bed was very comfortable... More

My partner and I recently drove to Scotland, and had a stop over night here on the way up. This hotel has recently had a makeover, so it felt New. The room was bright and clean. The view was lovely, overlooking the rolling fields. The staff were very friendly and helpful. All the usual basic facilities provided by Travelodge, with... More

This hotel really deserves a high 4 star rating. For a couple who just want a nice, clean bed to sleep in this was perfect. It was by far the best value for money in the area for the dates we wanted & for what we needed (a fresh, clean, comfy & secure hotel with a hot shower to come... More

I chose this hotel over one slightly closer to my destination the next day because the website did not mention anything about road noise whereas the closer one mentioned significant road noise. The hotel is next to a petrol station on a dual carriageway. The room itself was clean and well maintained. There is no restaurant attached to this hotel... More
