This place is very close to Lake District and hence can be easily booked during summer. The rooms are cheap but you may need to share the toilets/bathroom depending on your room type. Good breakfast and there is also a kitchen.

This Hostel is above a nightclub and the noise on a friday night was horrendous ... the rooms are basic . The staff were friendly but this place looks tired and needs an uplift .

Although the staff is nice and the breakfast quite good, the family room was dismal and overpriced. You can do better at a B&B. (Maybe I'm just too old to enjoy the discomforts of a youth hostel.)
