“Not worth the money; rubbish.”

Upon arrival we were greeted at reception with 42" live vision of the hotel's pool. Felt sorry for those in the pool as they were being viewed by all the public. Rooms were dirty. Stayed recently for two nights in a family room overlooking the river. Room a good size and great power shower in bathroom. Lovely bar and terrace area and great views from the dining/breakfast room. Stayed here for weekend break..room very spacious with good facilities although I would say housekeeping was not of the best standard..the bin was dirty and the skirting boards were really scraped with fair bit of missing paint. The Riverside is in a great location, right on the riverside with views out over the river Kent from every room , otter watch at dusk from ours! Celebrating our 20th anniversary we booked 3 nights in 2 hotels,unfortunately one a manor house which upgraded us to bridal suite. The second,riverside,did upgrade us to kendal castle suite from smaller claustrophobic area of the hotel. Me and my husband stayed at the Riverside Hotel Kendal for 2 nights in April for my 30th Birthday. Kendal is a nice little town with some nice shops.
