Just a one night stay to see a concert ...but wished we had booked two! Everything you could want from a B&B and more, the extra touches and an excellent breakfast stand it apart from other B&B's...will definitely stay again when we are up in Kendal!

We had room 3 super king bed/twin. This is a lovely place to stay with lots of little touches which made our stay enjoyable all the more. Fruit, chocolates, biscuits and a fridge with a jug of fresh milk for the myriad of choices of drinks to make in the room. The shower room is small but lovely big towels... More

Stayed here for two nights in July 2014 on our way to Scotland. The room was excellent being clean and comfortable. The extra touches in the room were over and above that normally expected including fruit, chocolates, bottled water, small fridge with real milk for the tea and coffee. The breakfast was also just as good. The location of the... More

We spent two nights here with friends and were very well looked after. The rooms are really, clean and ours had a lovely big bathroom. Excellent little touches - chocolates & fruit in the room - are very welcome. Good parking facilities. Breakfast was excellent with lots of fresh fruit/yoghurts/cereals and good quality toast. Many thanks to the owner who... More

The room itself had a fridge with fresh milk for tea or coffee also bottled water. Choc biscuits were provided along with fruit and there were also sweets if you're... More

This was our fourth visit to Glenholme, and once again we were made very welcome. The little extra touches, chocolates, sweets and fruit in the room make it just that more special. This time we learnt a little more about the history of Kendal, and the row of houses in which Glenholme stands. Excellent!

Needed somewhere to stay as we were going to a concert at the Brewery Arts Centre and wanted to be able to walk. From our welcome on arrival to our departure Glynis made us feel so welcome. All the extra little touches made such a difference - fruit, proper milk in the fridge, a variety of teas, biscuits, chocolates, Kendal... More

I live in Kendal and my family frequently stay at this lovely guest house. Glynis, the owner, sets such high standards and her breakfasts are legendary. Everything she serves is of the highest quality and beautifully cooked. Glenholme is a shining star!
