Went with friends for dinner as we had heard it had changed hands since our last visit, about six months ago. The food was very good, extensive menu and great value for money. Staff friendly and helpful if a little over worked. Excellent parking. Would recommend and we'll be going back.

Stayed at the above Inn on 9/1. Was a little chilly but was provided with a heater as the heating wasn't always on which worked well. Had a comfortable nights sleep and provided with a lovely breakfast. As we went out for the evening and arrived back after 11 pm we had to gain entry by a door entry system... More

I stopped here for lunch during the recent floods. An island of hope for many, quite literally. Aside from the good work and fund raising they were doing for the local community the food was fantastic (an apple pie to die for!) and the beer is top class, very well looked after. The owners made time for every person who... More

I would just like to say, a big thank you. My son and his friends really enjoyed his birthday meal with you. Thank you for accommodating use, allowing them to have a separate table, to use parents. Fabulous food, lovely welcome. Nothing was to much trouble. We will return. The wood burning stove in the bar, a lovely warm welcome.... More

After a very cold day out at the zoo myself and my partner decided that we would call in to the Gilpin on our way home. With its location being the perfect half way mark for us, it was ideal to pull in and stop. The outside was lit up and welcoming with a well spaced out car park and... More

Main meals 2xbrunch and 2xlasagne tasted delicious. The staff were very friendly and chatty, also informing us that new menu... More

In spite of the very poor weather I had a thoroughly enjoyable stay at the Gilpin bridge inn. Very friendly staff, lovely comfortable room and excellent food. I would not hesitate to recommend this hotel and will definitely be returning

We came here today for Sunday Lunch, and left very pleased. We had the Lamb and Beef roasts. Eaten in many restaurants in our area, and can honestly say this is right up there with the best around. The homemade Yorkshire puddings are simply great! The meat was delicious and plenty of it too...New owners certainly doing it the right... More
