Booked in for 2 nights and had a nice quiet room, good sized with ensuite & TV. Food was excellent as was the wine (a nice velvery Aussie merlot). Location is about 6 miles from Kendal but just 1.5 miles from Levens Bridge;a lovely walk beside the river into Kendal. Would recommend the place as staff very friendly. Food prices... More

We stayed here for 3 nights on a groupon deal which is the only reason it's ok value. I definitely wouldn't pay full price for a room here. The whole place needs a revamp, the room was cold despite having a radiator and the shower was attached to the taps. However, there was plenty of hot water. Cleanliness was poor;... More

Stayed here on a group on deal- £79.00 b&b, glass of wine and afternoon tea 2 nights... Let me start with the negative... We never received our glass of wine or afternoon tea - this was never mentioned on check in by the manager, and not one to ask for things we should of been offered on arrival we missed... More

We stayed here for one night in March 2014. We found the staff very friendly and the food delicious. The breakfast was lovely and great value. The room was a little dated but for a night or two that didn't matter as the price was very good. The room was spacious and clean and had a good size TV. The... More

Stayed at the Gilpin Bridge Hotel & Inn for 2 nights in room 6. Bad Points: The room was very small. The en-suite bathroom is very dated, as previous reviewers have mentioned the shower is very temperamental, the water pressure is very low and the shower water keeps going on and off during the shower also running hot and then... Recently purchased 2 nights stay with breakfast, afternoon tea and wine via groupon. The room was small and cold, the bathroom dirty and the plumbing is definitely not up to standard as the showers were weak and the toilet didn't flush properly. Stayed in room 7 and the noise from the opposite room was unbearable due to a guests loud... More

We have just returned from a 2 night stay at the Gilpin Bridge Hotel & Inn, and I would like to thank Terry and all his staff for a great couple of days. They made us feel so very welcome and went out of their way to pander to our needs. The food was exceptional and the room was clean... More
