Excellently located in town - easily accessable with adequate parking. Attractive old building with circular staircase and rooms off a circular landing. Comfortable bed in fairly small room. Would not want to stay for more than 2/3 nights due to small room and tiny bathroom with small bath but no shower. Bathroom was clean and modern but lacked shelves, hooks... more

My partner and I decided on an spontaneous short break to the Lakes and I found Ivy House Hotel on the web and it looked very nice. I phoned the hotel and they were able to offer me a double room at £50 per person per night for 2 nights B&B. However upon our arrival the room was a great... more
