Visited for a rest and refreshments on the weekend- delicious food! Generous portions and really tasty... Also the staff were really friendly and the hotel is set in a great spot to enjoy this lovely area - the weather meant we sat outside but the inside was really gorgeous x would definitely go back

Beautiful old traditional pub in a quaint village. Friendly and helpful staff. Beautiful decor in the rooms and a 5 star breakfast. What more could you want? I will definitely return and highly recommend. We thoroughly enjoyed ourselves.

This was a secret booking my wife made for my birthday. So it was a pleasant surprise when we ended up in Hawkshead, a lovely Lake District village. The room was very nice with a decent view and a nice warm en suite. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The breakfasts were good. We ate in the hotel both... More

Stayed here for one night while travelling around the Lake District. Nice room and great food, a great location to explore the Lake District. Free parking available in the main car park in Hawkshead. Friendly bar staff and great service.

Stayed for two nights last year, excellent accommodation, friendly staff, nicely furnished rooms and spotlessly clean. Food and drink selection downstairs was excellent, would recommend and visit again!

From our arrival to departure everything was perfect. Warm friendly atmosphere and character decor in the main area. We had a room in the annex next door which was clean, modern with avery comfortable bed. The menu choice was great. We shared the chateaubriand, it was absolutely awesome. Everyone in our party thoroughly enjoyed their meal. The breakfast before we... More

Just spent three midweek nights at the Queens Head and can thoroughly recommend this hotel. The bar and restaurant area are all cosy fires and beams and wooden floors and in contrast our superior double room was very stylish with a contemporary bathroom. It was a very good size. The staff were very efficient and friendly. Breakfast was hearty. We... More
