I had dinner here recently. The fish and chips were very good, a very large piece of fish. Nicely presented with the fish on top of the chips and pots of mushy peas and tartare sauce. Only problem was the food was served on a flat board with greaseproof paper on it, rather than a plate. The grease coming out... More

We stayed for 3 nights and booked well in advance as we really liked the look of the accommodation. The rooms did not disappoint, they were comfortable, spotlessly clean and refurbished to a high standard. We had a lovely welcome from the receptionist who showed us to our room. We had driven for over 3 hours and realised that food... More

My wife and I stayed 2 nights in a suite adjacent to the main Pub. Clean, spacious, a very tasteful conversion. The staff were friendly, professional and helpful, nothing was a problem for them, they seemed to really want to help wherever possible. Ate in the restaurant both nights, 1st night, Moules for starters were excellent as was the fish... More

Friends and I visited this hotel/pub three times during our week long stay in the area and ate in there twice. Once was for Sunday lunch which was fine but nothing special and the second time for an evening meal which was excellent with both the belly of pork and shoulder of lamb highly recommended. I can also recommend the... More

Just back from a couple of nights to attend a wedding in the area. Good Bar, Great Breakfast, Nice Staff, Good rooms, basically couldn't fault the place and although we never ate at night it semed to be the most popular place in the village

Great old pub downstairs, refurbished rooms upstairs! Great combination of old word charm and modern, comfortable rooms with plenty of hot water, wi-fi and flat screen TV, no complaints! The breakfast was amazing! We also ate in the restaurant the night before, great food and very professional service. Was overly heated in the restuant though, so in winter don't overdress... More

We stayed for two nights in the rooms across from the pub the rooms were very nice however our friends had suites in the pub main building that were amazing well worth the extra supplement. We ate both night and the food was very nice, staff were very friendly especially the young man who checked us in. No complaints

Can't recommend it highly enough. Rooms, service, staff, ambiance - this wonderful place has it all. Ate in the restaurant twice and the food was just excellent. What a fairy-tale caliber experience; just the sort of place we dream of all year long and can't wait to get back to the U.K. to visit again and again.
