We stayed in room 2 last weekend for two nights to celebrate a special anniversary and engagement. We felt it was one of the best places we have ever stayed in. The room is fitted with high quality furnishings and the bathroom was particularly impressive with TV at the end of the bath and a superb separate shower. The small... More

My wife and I stayed here for a birthday treat. We weren't disappointed. We were in room 3 and were especially impressed by the spacious bedroom and lovely bathroom. The latter even had a TV above the bath which was a first as far as we were concerned. The bottle of red wine in our room on arrival was a... More

On a May 2014 weekend, we booked out all the rooms in Heidi's Lodge for my sister's wedding. We received a very warm welcome from the staff who couldn't do enough to help us over the weekend, Within a couple of hours, Heidi knew us all by our first names, delicious breakfasts made to order, cosy rooms and a lovely... We stayed in room 5 at the lodge which is as described, small but perfectly formed! This room does require you to bend over to move around , or at last ind you head but it is so cute its worth it!! the room is beautifully decorated, as is the whole place, and the bathroom was a joy with a... More

This was our third stop at Heidi’s in Grasmere over the last few years, which is a good indication that Heidi’s is a nice place to stay. Centrally located in Grasmere, the rooms have been fitted out to a high standard which is one of the reasons we return when in the area. This time, we were undertaking a seven... More

My fiancé and I stayed at Heidi's for two nights on 11th and 12th July and we were joined by three of our friends. We were all attending a wedding event in Grasmere, but had opted for a boutique B&B rather than staying at the - frankly overpriced - Daffodil Hotel where the Wedding was being held. We easily found... More

Stayed for one night on route to Scotland. A pleasant stay! The room was fine for one night only, limited headroom but was expected. TV in the bathroom was a surprise and added luxury. The blinds weren't sufficient for light mornings though. Breakfast was good and plentiful. Good value for money for the area.

We stayed at Heidi's on Sunday night (29th June) for my boyfriend's birthday, we stayed in room 1. I had seen the photos on here and Heidi's website and knew it was the place for us, I love shabby chic and Heidi has decorated the place beautifully! We were greeted with a warm welcome and shown to our room, first... More

I knew there would be nowhere better to celebrate my 40th Birthday and I was right. We booked out all 6 rooms for Friday and Saturday night. Heidi and her team couldn't do enough to accommodate us. We used Room 1 balcony on the Friday night as people arrived for drinks 'with a view'. For breakfast they had arranged all... More

Great location. I was given a warm welcome. The room was beautiful. Lots of attention to detail, a bottle of wine, an expresso coffee machine- even a TV in the bathroom! It was good to be in the centre of the village. I had room 5 which was lovely. My only niggle was that I was not given the Wifi... More
