We booked this room last minute and although we originally thought it a little expensive for such a small room, it was worth every penny. The room was small, but decorated and furnished to a good standard. The staff have obviously been trained extremely well and knew exactly how to treat their guests, without being obtrusive. The hotel is of... More

Stayed in the river suite, which was good as far as access was concerned and so was the wet room/bathroom, there was perhaps too much furniture in the room, the sliding doors had a high threshold and was a no go for me Additionally the out side space which looked like a private patio was shared by several rooms. However... More

Stayed overnight in room 26. It is small and awkward, with low ceiling angles, but quiet, warm, clean, comfortable, and there is no reason whatever to avoid it. Admittedly it may appear expensive for what it is, but it is it is in the best hotel around the entire lakes area. We have stayed in many other hotels in the... More

I booked this hotel the day before we travelled. It was the only hotel with availability and I didn't really do much research as to what sort of hotel it was and wasn't sure what to expect. We arrived at 9.30 in the morning despite the fact I knew that check in was 3pm, we thought we would just drop... More

We have just come back from three thoroughly enjoyable days at Rothay Garden. The room was comfortable, staff helpful, and the food superb. Just across the road there's a path through woods which takes you to the start of the beautiful Easedale valley (see photos), and there are several walks you can do just there without having to drive. Walking... More

What can I say, just a fantastic hotel/spa for a chilled out break Last minute booking, so took a chance, but we just weren't disappointed. Hotel room was lovely, staff were courteous, we did have a slight hiccup when we were advised that we'd need to move for our second night (an error in their booking system) but this was... More

We booked this hotel for a 2 night stay to relax and unwind. It was the perfect choice. The hotel is situated in lovely grounds and gardens and the interior is lovely and clean and well maintained and equipped. We booked a double room and it was quite spacious with a lovely small balcony overlooking a trickling stream. Well equipped... More

I have stayed at this hotel over the last three years and for good reason. When you first walk in to reception you know you have found something of exceptional quality. Every rooom is beaufifully kept and the small attention to detail only adds to the welcoming and warm feel of the place. All the rooms I have stayed in... More

Went to this lovely hotel for a dinner bed and breakfast stay. Before visiting, my partner checked with the hotel and the very helpful receptionist arranged for a beautiful suite facing the river. It was beautiful. We tried the dos and had 2 treatments. They were both excellent and to be recommended. Thanks Katie. The evening meal was really excellent... More
