We stayed here for 5 days in early August and it was wonderful. The location was great, the hotel was very clean and the staff exceedingly helpful. Our room was large with all modern facilities and the restaurant was superb for breakfast and our evening meal. Excellent choices for dinner. All in all 10/10 and go there if you can!

Dropped in while walking the Coast to Coast trek. Everything here is absolute perfection. Ambiance, service, food, rooms and amenities, all just stellar. Wish we could stay longer. Every detail has the proper attention. Hotel management at it's finest.

We have just returned from another fantastic stay at the Grasmere Hotel. We echo everything that all the other reviewers have said and can't recommend this lovely hotel highly enough. The staff, the ambience, the food and the bedrooms are excellent - in fact we would struggle to find fault other than to say that it's so booked up in... More

The hotel was highly recommended and fully lived up to expectations. Rob and Anton run a lovely hotel with just the right mix of informality and style, the service from their friendly and helpful team was attentive but not overbearing. Our stay was both enjoyable and memorable and we would highly recommend this hotel.

We stayed in a ground floor room named dorothy. The room had a very large double bed was well furnished with a great walkin shower. Breakfast service is prompt with all cooked items being freshly cooked. The evening meal is of a very high standard and should not be missed. So impressed we have booked for next year.

We decided to stay in Grasmere on this visit to the Lake District after stays in soulless Windermere and Bow-ness previously. We selected this hotel due to its TA rating and we couldn't have been more pleased. Rob and his young friendly team are extremely professional and everything works like clock-work. There is plenty of parking outside the hotel and... More

Came here for one night 15/08/15 with my wife and another couple. Arrived and was met inside by a most delightful young lady, I am sorry, I am useless with names, who checked us in and showed us to our rooms. We went for a short walk and returned to enjoy a very reasonable bottle of wine in the garden,watching... More

We stayed here for one night, that was the only disappointment! It just wasn't long enough! This is a delightful hotel and restaurant. Rob made us feel very welcome with tea and home made cake on arrival. Our room was immaculate! The whole hotel is warm and welcoming and beautifully decorated. Such attention to detail. Fabulous. Dinner in the evening... More

This is our second visit, with another one booked for October. An obvious recommendation in itself. The hotel is on the outskirts of the village which means it is a couple of minutes walk to the centre. The hotel building and its gardens are meticulously maintained both within and without. The whole ambience is welcoming and relaxed. The food and... More

My wife and I stayed here for one night whilst travelling through the Lakes. The hotel is lovely; small and set back from the street it is a lovely building. Inside, the public areas are very well decorated with excellent furnishing - very welcoming indeed. The staff were excellent throughout and very welcoming. The gardens are very nice, with freshly...
