Just returned from a lovely relaxing stay, as always everyone was very welcoming the breakfast was excellent and the room clean and well decorated. This B&B can't be beaten for location and value for money. more

Fairly standard B&B with nice modern decoration. Wifi wasnt working, even tho modem appeared to be functioning ok with owners laptop. Another guest was having problems also. Querky idea of requesting breakfast on the chalk board the night before. Only downside, when we sat down the following morning, the food appeared to have been put on plates and then kept... more

Having seen the photos in the brochure and on the website, my husband and I assumed we'd be staying in a boutique style B&B. Unfortunately this was not the case. We stayed in room 3 which was by any standards rather compact - It was a very tight squeeze to get around the bottom of the bed and as the... more

Telephoned just to see on the off chance if they had a room and they had had a cancellation so I booked a twin room ensuite as this was only available. Took credit card details over phone and was then sent confirmation to my email address along with the details of the door entry system number. Arrived at accommodation at... more

I am suprised to read bad reviews as our weekend stay was delightful. The room was clean and tidy and all we expected for the money we paid. The staff were very friendly and even made us late breakfast which they did not have to do. Its in a central location and much preferred than other surrouding hotels that are... more

Was wowed by the website thinking I'd booked a modern, chic hotel. Arrived and found the welcome rather lack lustre. Taken to room 1 which was tiny and smelt strongly of dog... not just a little sniff, but the smell of ingrained, dirty hound. Opened all windows hoping to improve things but on returning from a walk we decided we... more

Whilst we appreciate that everyone is entitled to an opinion, it seems harsh to create such a vindictive review based on at the most, one minute in the guest room and another minute at reception asking for an upgrade! We are astonished that trip advisor will accept a review from someone who, by their own admission did not stay in...

Loved it.

This is a lovely guesthouse. I had an attic room which had great views. It was clean and comfortable with all mod cons. The Staff are lovely and helpful. Coniston itself is a quiet, relaxing village in the heart of beautiful countryside. more

Went for a weekend to Coniston staying at Lakeland house in Mid July 09. Chose this B&B because it looked so modern, and when I was last in Coniston we had a lovely coffee and cake at the Hollands cafe which the owners also run. Parking is a we bit of an issue if you're arriving in the middle of... more

Clean, bright, modern accommodation with great views and quiet nights. Nothing was too much trouble, even when we caught the proprieter at her busiest! Breakfast was excellent (no greasy food here) and very well organised. Location was great for the lake and walking, with plenty of choice for eating out in the evening. Would definitely stay here again. more
