Good foods beers and atmosphere makes this place a place to visit. Car park ok and out door seating is a bonus. Staff great and for us they are dog friendly so we will now spend more time here. Top marks

Really enjoyed our two nights at the Crown. We had a very clean, warm and comfortable room and the hotel is located right in the centre of Coniston. Plenty of choice for breakfast, which was freshly cooked. Staff were friendly and the service was excellent - very relaxing after a day on the fells.

We are a walking group with an average of about 70 and we had a great stay in the Crown. The rooms were good, the food was delicious and the staff were young, fun and couldn't do enough to help us and make our stay enjoyable. Above all, it was excellent value and we would definitely recommend it to others.

Staff at the hotel were great from the moment we arrived. I'm sure we can't have been the easiest group with seven of us making various odd requests due to our itinerary - early start / late finish the following day.
