This is the best B&B hotel we have stayed in. We stayed 2 nights on a Sunday Times offer (25% off), but the hotel does 3-for2 deals as well. Rooms are very high standard, comfortable and spacious. The owners are really welcoming - tea and cakes on the balcony when we arrived, and every effort made to ensure that we... more

What a relief to get back to Grizedale Lodge right on the edge of the forest. Plenty guest parking , and many walks right... more

This is our second visit to Grizedale Lodge and we will definately be going back again soon. Ann & David look after you from the minute you arrive. The rooms are really nice, well equipped with toiletries, alarm clock and hairdryer. The views of the forest are stunning, particularly at this time of year with all the different colours of... more

We spent four days with David and Ann and it was wonderful. They really make you feel welcome,it was so quiet and peaceful. The room was superb and the breakfasts unbelievable! Try the "Whisky Porridge" its a must. You certainly need to walk them off in Grizedale Forest. The visitors centre is only 600 yards away so if you intend... more

Have just returned from a one nights romantic stay at the Grizedale for our first wedding anniversary. We had a beautiful room (The Forest Suite) which had a four poster bed, a lovely big bathroom and a balcony with views over the forest. Its fantastic value for money, the breakfast was gorgeous and the room was cleaner than some 4/5... more
