Just spent 2 nights in this lovely b&b which is certainly more than that. Friendly and relaxed host who provided a really spacious, clean, comfortable home for our short stay. Own kitchen and lounge to do your own thing, whilst Melanie (host) brought through great tasty full cooked breakfast. Comfortable bed, spacious bathroom, lovely views and patio area. 2 minute... As many have already stated previously - this really is a lovely B&B (home from home) with plenty of space throughout. Decorated very nice. And Melanie the owner was so friendly and helpful.. Hoping to go back soon

Our second stay in 6 months, we had to come back soon because this is such a great place to stay. For a similar price that you might pay for one room in most B&Bs you get a good sized sitting room, a fully equipped kitchen area, a genuine double bedroom and a spacious bathroom including a luxurious bath. While... More

I booked this for a last minute break for my brother and his three children after reading the reviews on trip advisor. The owner Mel was lovely, she couldn't do enough for us. The b and b has off road parking, one bedroom and bathroom upstairs and a sofa bed and kitchen downstairs. It is tastefully decorated and extremely clean... More

Looking for B and B on a very busy weekend in the Lakes and came across Mountain View, which has more of a feel of an apartment, but the breakfast is to die for, as is the view, and the owner is lovely and couldn't do enough. It was warm, comfy, very well appointed and we didn't want to write... More

The Mountain View B&B in Coniston is great place to stay. It is a couple of minutes walk away from the centre of Coniston and has a pretty mountain view out the French doors at the back. You literally have your own perfect little cottage to stay in. On the ground floor there is a fully equipped kitchen and lounge... More

We stayed here again for our anniversary. 2nd year in a row and normally we move on to somewhere new or different, but as all the reviews have said, including our own from this time last year, Melanie and the Mountain View are perfect. Enough said!!!

We could hardly believe our eyes when we were shown to our 'living quarters'... The B&B has one bedroom, and a comfortable living room and kitchen, as well as a spacious and spotlessly-clean bathroom. The view over the mountain is breath-taking. Breakfast was delicious, and Melanie was extremely friendly. We cannot wait for a second visit.

Mountain view B & B has everything you could wish for - beautiful views, great location next to the village of Coniston and a delicious full breakfast brought over by Melanie every morning. We really enjoyed our stay and could not fault it in any way. The cottage is kept immaculately clean with fresh towels left every day and a... More

Mountain View B and B made the perfect base for us (retired Australian couple) to explore the Lake District. Coniston itself is much quieter than the bigger nearby towns. We loved being two minutes walk from the village, with restaurants, pubs, shops etc. The self-contained flat at MountainView B and B was cosy and perfect for us. Features we appreciated:... More
