Booked travelodge on line then needed to cancel and arrange new dates. Rang customer services who said can only be done on line by email. Did this and gor auto email response advising they would respond to my email within 5 working days. On day 5 I rang again as no response I was assured I would receive an email... more

I stayed here at the end of March and I must say it's an impressive located with it's traditional Travelodge low budget prices. Although I only stayed for 2 nights, it was purely a visit for visiting the Lake District on a short break away from the stresses of life in the city (Birmingham..). The hotel is newly built with... more

We booked for 2 nights at £19 per night which we've done on numerous occasions. The room was clean and functional as you would expect from a Travelodge, but lacking in character and storage space. The car park is £3 for 24hrs but parking on the roadside is free as there are no restrictions. The staff here are very efficient... more

A clean, tidy and pet friendly hotel - Very personable and helpful staff - Excellent value for money when you are able to obtain the lower promotional prices (£29/night out of season) - Excellent location, but why oh why spoil the whole well earned and deserved reputation by a nitpicky greedy £3.00/night car park fee? - Think again on this... more

Spent a night (Business) there in October - now I've stayed in dozens of Hotels over the years all of them had something this one didn't - an atmosphere ! The rooms were clean, the bed was comfy, but the furnishings were sparse and the material seemed to have been designed to actually look as artificial as possible. The telly... more

If you want a clean, reliable, budget hotel in the Western lakes look no further. Good location about a mile from the town. Usual basic Travelodge facilities but as this is a newish hotel, opened 2007, it is still in good condition. Great staff, very helpful. Only downside is that the greedy venture capitaists who own Travelodge have decided to... more

Visited after walking Scafell Pike from Wastwater before going off to Ambleside for further 3 days. Located in typical location for a Travelodge, but this is definately the best TL ive stayed in. Normally run down, with miserable staff. Greeted by pleasant receptionist who later brought extra towel within minutes to the room after we had found only one. Bed... more

We had two rooms here for 6 nights, we found this Travelodge to be very clean, booking at the reduced rate some months before it was also excellent value at £29 per room per night, Staff will do anything to help you enjoy your stay. No problem with car parking, and an excellent venue from which to explore the Lake District... more

Yup, it's a Travelodge, but this one was pretty good actually. Well-placed for exploring the northern end of the Lake District. Clean and comfortable room, though a little minimalistic, but that's what you get with Travelodge - no fuss, no frills. £50 per room per night, room only for 2 of us. Nice quiet room, comfy bed, had a good... more

We stayed at this travelodge for 3 nights for our summer holiday. A great base to tour the lakes from, brand new hotel so very clean and tidy. Bar food was on offer, good prices and the food was very filling, drinks at the bar were the prices you would expect from a hotel bar, the staff had a few... more
