Booked 3hrs before setting off for an overnight stay, read reviews so didn't expect too much but was pleasantly surprised, room reasonable size, bed clean although double bed had single quilts on but was comfortable, shower was huge. Breakfast was unbelievable quality better than expected in a budget hotel as good or probably better than the Hilton we stopped in... More

Just spent two nights here and had a good weekend. Bedroom very comfortable, clean and had everything we needed. Bed fine as was the breakfast. Booking was simple and check in easy. All the staff were very nice and attentive but never in your face. Only problem we had (if you could call it that) was one of the bulbs... More

Stayed here for a total of 4 nights over a 2 week period. I'm lost for words really. It's friendly. It's dated. It's modern. It's basic. It's a difficult one really. Good breakfast tho. Don't know if I would take the wife but ok for digs while working away from home.

Booked this hotel last minute for one evening but pleasantly surprised at the price and the level of comfort. The welcome and helpful manner of the proprietor was most impressive (I'm a stickler about customer service, which I find lacking in many establishments, not the case here!). The room although basic, was comfortable and clean. Both my wife and I... More

After a long trip from Liverpool we arrived to a warm welcome. Only twin rooms available but a plan was made with a ing duvet - although not required at 30 + degrees celsius. Breakfast was great with a nice variety of cereals and pastries and the usual traditional hot breafast. old fashioned decor may not suit some but the... More

Great place to stay. Nice location. Room, breakfast and evening meal were all excellent, Nice views from room. Booked this at short notice and would happily stay here again. It was also very peaceful and I got a nice night's sleep.

Stayed for one night on bank hol weekend. Had booked last minute and yes if you want a swanky hotel overlooking a lake it's prob not for you. However was a good base for getting round the lakes and although carpets in room worn and scorched our room was extremely clean and large and staff were helpful. Breakfast was tasty... More

This hotel is terrible. From the unkept, deteriorating exterior to the ignorant, unhelpful staff and the filthy state of the room. This would be the worst hotel I have ever written review on! The exterior of the hotel does not create a good first impression. There are large pieces of concrete fallen from the walls, stairs taped off and a... More
