Stayed here with friends for a birthday celebration, the landlord Mick is a superb host and could'nt do enough for us,the food was absolutely delicious and the service excellent and complimented with a well stocked bar! The bedrooms here are spacious&spotlessly clean with lovely en suite facilities I would recommend this accomodation to anyone wishing to stay in home from home... More

I have recently stayed here at the Old Posting House Deanscales. Great welcome, very good food (and decent portions). Best Chips I have tasted in years. Mick the Owner ensured all needs were met and was always ready if you had a question. Flexible in his approach. Breakfast was very good and just needed for the day ahead. The only... More

As a young, female staying away on business it was so lovely to have somewhere warm & welcoming. The owner can't do enough for you and the food is that delicious I didn't want to go Home and cook for myself! I love the little touches such as a tea pot in your room and a few sweets. I'll be... Arrived to a very warm welcome and excellent introduction to the facilities and accommodation. The room was spacious and spotlessly clean with a super-king bed and good sized bathroom with shower. Quite possibly our best ever nights sleep in hotel/guest house accommodation! Breakfast and evening meals were excellent and arrived in good time with the sort of wait you would... More

An absolute gem just off the beaten track . The rooms are delightful, the food exquisite. Stay here for warm welcome and a great nights sleep. Then landlord is a character with the gift of the gab. Ideal for butter mere and honister pass . You cannot go wrong!

A very enjoyable stay as part of a work-arranged outing that felt more like leisure. Mick was a very friendly host, welcoming us in when we arrived a half hour early. I was coming down with a cold on the day we arrived but a nice hot shower, hearty dinner, pub quiz, comfortable bed and big breakfast saw me right.... More

A hidden gem, luxurious rooms, giant portions of delicious food, pampered and fussed over by mick. After a long day it's a perfect haven. Pummelled in a gloriously hot shower, sleep of the righteous in a heavenly bed and a feast for a meal. All done better cheaper tastier than a chain or budget hotel.

Lunch here today - chosen from the mini menu which is smaller portions which is available every day. Good friendly service and good food. The landlord has an amazing collections of teapots everywhere in the bar. He told us that the cleaner had counted them once and there were over a thousand! Excellent value - 2 of us with 2... More
