Lovely hotel just outside Cockermouth. The hotel is in a very nice location with some nice views of the surrounding hills. The main part of the hotel is a little dated but there is a new part of the hotel which is lovely, the rooms are finished to a very high standard so i would recommend requesting a room in... More

I stayed here for 8 nights with my 3 young children and the location, the staff and the food could not have been better. My children always eat off the adult menu despite being 6, 9 and 11 and the choices and the quality were really very good. The quality of the dishes was excellent and the size was enough... More

I had afternoon tea sat outside with my husband and labrador betty for my 40th birthday. Bar a few jam hungry wasps it was excellent. A lovely selection of sandwiches, homemade scones, cream cakes, pastries and biscuits. The hotel is set in beautiful grounds and the view is spectacular. Service was attentive yet unobtrusive. We had a couple of cold... More

My secretary found this. Was not disappointed at all. Only a short 5 - 10 mind away from Cockermouth town so quite convenient. The views were spectacular and service was very good. Not too keen on the breakfast as have tasted better, but still ok. Would love the TV to be slightly larger. Room was reasonably priced. Happy on general.

I cant praise this hotel highly enough. In a beautiful location surrounded by immaculately kept gardens, this hotel is a lovely place to stay. I booked a family room and when the staff realised that we were three adults not two adults with a child, we were immediately offered an extra bedroom for free. Our rooms were comfortable and clean... More

The Hotel is on the outskirts of Cockermouth and only a short travel time to Keswick, Ambleside and Penrith etc. I found the staff to be friendly and attentive and the food to very good with... More
