We had booked a night's stay for our anniversary. The booking was to stay in the Grasmere apartment however on arrival we were put in the Windermere. We had a wonderful stay at the Derwent Lodge, the owner was very friendly and couldn't do enough to make our stay enjoyable. The Grasmere apartment was gorgeous and would definitely recommend it, the pool hadn't been finished but will be great when it's finally built. The hotel is in a beautiful location - not in the midst of tourists... more
We stayed in the windemere room which was a superb space with great facilities comfy beds nice sheets all in all very nice. The hotel itself is obviously still being developed but that is not to the detriment of the rooms currently being used and just shws the great potential I would love to return when the spa is completed.... more
Originally I booked this hotel through laterooms and booked an apartment for £65 (for one night). A few days later I got a call from the hotel saying that they had problems with laterooms.com, but offering me a different room (double, ensuite, but not an apartment) but for the same price because of the conusion.
