Fiance and I had a great stay here during April. Rooms were very clean and comfortable with nice little extras such as snacks, wi-fi, dvd player and a deep bath. Very handy for getting in to Ambleside. Even had a complimentary torch for walking in on an evening. Literally a 5-10 mimute walk. The owners were very friendly and accomodating.... More

stayed here again at the end of April 2013 and again enjoyed it. Got room 4 - lovely big room with enormous bathroom. owners are friendly (nice to be remembered) without being "in your face". binoculars and bird book in the room is a nice touch. breakfast very good - letting me go off menu having "eggs benedict" with smoked... Stayed here for a week in April 2013. Beautiful setting close to Ambleside in a peaceful garden and next to a working farm. Victorian house with some original features. Our room was modern, very clean and warm with a lovely power shower. Breakfasts were excellent. From here you can start the Fairfield Horseshoe route and many others without needing a... More

Everything about this place makes you feel warm and closeted, it has a very comfortable feel to it. The owners are friendly and helpful but at the same time manage to leave you alone if that's what you want. I wanted to do a little walking and the hotel was a good place to start several routes. There were route... More

Lovely guest house in a perfect and peaceful location. The owners have thought of everything and were very hospitable, friendly and helpful. The room was immaculate and there was everything you could have needed including a selection of DVDs, games and books in the public areas. Excellent breakfast with a good choice of food and fresh fruit daily. Approximately 15... More

Everything about this Country House is top class. We stayed for four nights in the premier room (number 1) and it was just perfect. We could not find fault anywhere. Situation, cleanliness, food, accomodation, staff, comfort and facilities all deserve 10/10. We will definitely return in the future.

My boyfriend and I went to Ambleside during the Easter bank holiday weekend for some time away from home in a busy town. And it was lovely. Crow How is a lovely hotel. If you are looking for traditional homely comforts in a quiet rural setting, look no further! The staff are so accomodating and will stop at nothing to... More

Crow How is one of the places to stay if visiting Ambleside. Situated just outside but within 15 minutes walk of the town, just far enough to be away from the busy little place, but within easy reach of the restaurants. Nearly all the rooms have been redone to a high specification and Im sure all the rooms will be... More

This is a wonderful place to stay, everything is lovely from the setting to the fabulous room (room 4, premier room). We could not fault a thing. The bathroom is luxurious with the spa bath and the fabulous toiletries provided. The bedroom has a beautiful comfy super kingsize bed, bliss, and a fantastic view of the gardens and the surrounding... More

This is a lovely place to stay. Our review is, for various reasons, a little late as we stayed in June last year for two nights, but we wish to share our experience. The building is absolutely beautiful as is the setting. The setting is rural and our room, bedroom 1, a Premier room, had a superb view from the... More
