Our first stay at the Wanslea, but surely not our last! On arrival we were given a warm welcome, and even helped with our bags to our room. We stayed in the african room, which was large, warm, well furnished and immaculately clean. The large spa bath was a real luxury and an amazing extra considering the price for the... More

We first came across Wanslea a few years ago and have now stayed many times. On every occasion we have been made to feel very welcome, had a lovely room and cracking breakfast. Parking can be quite a problem in Ambleside as a lot of accommodation doesn't have onsite parking but this guesthouse has a small car park too. In... More

We spent two nights at Wanslea over New Year. We found all the staff to be very friendly and helpful. The room was a good size as was the bathroom which had a good shower in it. The only small criticisms i have of the room was that the windows were only single glazed so there was quite a lot... More

We really enjoyed our trip to the Lakes and the Wanslea Guest House was an integral part of this. The "rock and roll" room with jacuzzi bath helped ease the troubled muscles and prepare us for the nights out! The Wanslea is well situated being walking distance from the centre of town and the lake, so the car was given... More
