Just returned from this lovely hotel. Owners very pleasant and nothing is to much trouble. Sittuated in the lovely village of Ambleside with wonderful views. My only gripe was the shower in our room, it was tiny. But apart from that would highly recommend staying here.

We had an excellent stay here. We arrived 4 hours early but our room was ready for us. It was exceptionally clean and well furnished. We had a lovely little patio on which to sit in the sunshine and watch the world go by. The breakfast menu was to drool over and, staying two nights, we could really indulge ourselves... More

Stayed at The Fisherbeck Sunday through to Thursday room 10. First thing I have to mention here is the 'HUB' Ambleside. This is the tourist information centre. They will do a search for the accommodation you require for 4pds, then ring the one that suits you best and book you in. Well after going in and out of every accommodation we could see looking for a triple room for ourselves... More

The Lanes have a formula for running their business. Quality, attention to detail and service, at a level one rarely encounters these days. We had a garden room over three beautifully sunny days and made full use of it's outside seating location facing the Fell. The decor, facilities and furnishing of the suite is first class and immaculately cleaned. Breakfast... More

We decided on a weekend in The Lake District. The budget wasn't limitless, but I'm firmly in the camp of " no point going if the accommodation isn't at least comparable to what you have at home, preferably better!" Due to circumstances we were booking at what is short notice for us, about a week before our trip. We narrowed... More
