Stayed at the Fisherbeck Hotel for 2 nights in late February. The hotel is very clean and rooms are quite tastefully decorated and clean. The lounge and dining area are a little dated typical bed and breakfast decor. It's within walking distance to the town centre so if the area was to be busy you would be well away from... More

This is a 5 star self-catering cottage in the grounds of the hotel and has on site parking. It has everything you would need from a fully equipped kitchen, fridge. freezer, washing machine, dryer, double bedroom with en-suite toilet/shower, twin bedroom and separate toilet/bathroom. It even boasts 3 televisions but you may not wish to watch them as there are... More

This property is owned by The Fisherbeck Hotel, its one of three self catering accommodations that they let out. Ralston sleeps six, well this property is perfect!!! under floor heating, gorgeous kitchen, bedrooms, bathrooms all to a very high standard. In an ideal location for staying in Ambleside close to all shops, pubs and restaurants. What a great find will definately go back.

Very warm welcome and check in. Despite the fact we were early we were allowed to check in and personally shown to the room and given detailed information. Room (15) was spotless and well appointed with a separate shower room and WC. There was also a balcony with a view of Loughrigg Fell and comfy chairs (cushions in the wardrobe).... More

We had a truly blissful stay at the Fisherbeck. The room and hotel were spotlessly clean, tastefully decorated and very comfortable! The owners were lovely people, very welcoming and happy to chat to us. We stayed in the King* room with the spa bath, which was a little more expensive than the sort of accommodation we usually stay in when... More

I've now stayed at this hotel twice and both times really enjoyed it - great long weekend getaway from work and for some peace and quiet! We requested a garden room as this was well worth it as they are very quiet with lots of space and some chairs to sit outside. The bed is comfortable and the room is... More

What a nice place to stay. Clean and quality accommodation that you will remember with pleasure. Decent sized rooms with a comfortable bed well presented and the room overlooking the hills beyond the road a pleasure to wake up to (you have to ask for this type of room). There are some nice touches here also such as no mobile... More

My wife and I booked this hotel for an overnight stopover having read good reviews. The girls on reception were friendly and helpful, offering a complimentary coffee on arrival. The room was clean and comfortable with tea, coffee and a bottle of water provided. The shower room was compact but perfectly adequate and very clean, which for us is totally... More

We recently stayed at the Fisherbeck hotel for the first time. We found the staff extremely helpful and nothing was too much trouble. The room was very confortable, clean with a lovely bathroom. Breakfast was superb. We will definitely be staying here in future. An extremely well run and friendly hotel.

This was our second visit after a 6+ year gap. The hotel was as well kept and smart, just as we remembered it. The staff are excellent; polite and helpful. The ample car park is a bonus and very easy to find. We had a very comfortable room with a whirlpool bath/ shower en-suite. The choice at breakfast-time is extensive... More
