We stayed at Langdale on their two day, one night Relaxation Spa break deal for two. The Relaxation deal gets you a 3 course dinner in Purdeys restaurant, a night in an upgraded room, lunch, use of their leisure facilities for two days and a treatment each in the spa. We thought this was fantastic and offered great value for... more

Had a fabulous two days ( wish it had been longer) at Langdale. We stayed in one of the Waterside rooms which was very very comfortable with a balcony overlooking the Great Langdale Beck . We had our first meal at The Terrace wher the food was good as was the service. On our second night we dined Purdeys Restaurant.... more

Just came back from a 2 day one night trip. Had a fabulous time. This hotel is perfect for those who enjoy the great outdoors but with the comfort of a gorgeous hotel. We stayed in the romantic rooms which cost £100 this time of year. The first day we went biking which is organised by the hotel which was... more

Having visited the Hotel Web-Site we where very impressed. The setting was perfect for a Winter Break in a beautiful setting. We paid an additional £20 per person per night for a waterside deluxe room. Plus an additional £22.50 per person toward dinner. On arrival we found our de-luxe room was annexed from the main building, however if you look... more

Just returned from the Langdale today. Had a really good time, the room was very impressive, it was spacious and included; a huge bed; hairdryer; iron and ironing board; trouser press; mini fridge; flat screen tv with freeview; tea and coffee facilities; underfloor heating in the bathroom; air bath; heated towel rail; and bath robes. We didn't use the country... more

I got lucky with this booking. My boss wanted me to stay in Barrow-In-Furness, but I quite reasonably vetoed the idea and suggested staying somewhere civilised instead. His response, "If you can get it for the corporate rate, do it!" So I asked, and I could, and I did. Naturally, the location is stunning, but the roads are narrow and... more

My wife and I arrived at this hotel mid afternoon, and was instantly made to feel very welcome. We checked into our room which was 144, and it was spectacular. The room and bathroom were immaculate, and large plasma screen television is an excellent touch. We made our way over to the country club for a swim, and we were... more

I booked this hotel as a surprise weekend for my partners birthday. I wanted a lakeland hotel with spa. I paid £170.00 for one night and a further £90.00 for treatments in the Spa. I note from other rewievs that you can get a room for a lot less than I paid. We were allocated a room, Room 132 in... more

Just arrived home after a two night stay in The Langdale and thoroughly enjoyed it! The service throughout the whole estate was brilliant and the restaurants we ate in, Wainwrights Pub and The Terrace were great. Hobsons Bar was lovely and although we never ate here the food looked nice. We made full use of the pool, sauna, steamroom and... more
