We stayed in Room 6.Superking and 2 single baths. Great comfortable beds. Spacious room with plenty storage. Kids loved the jacuzzi bath. It's a buffet continental breakfast, but there's plenty of it. Overlooks Ambleside childrens golf course and park. Can't really fault this accomodation, it's just a little pricey.

Lovely room on 2nd floor (Room 18) with four poster bed and a small sitting area. Very clean, super continental style breakfast, friendly helpful staff and a great location just on the outskirts of Ambleside. Only downside is no lift. Highly recommended.

We booked last minute. Our first visit to this lovely B&B and we stayed 4 nights in an attic double. Perhaps not suitable for anyone with mobility issues but for us it was perfect, extremely quiet and with views towards Wansfell. The decor throughout is lovely and everywhere clean and we were made to feel very welcome by all the... More

I recently stayed here on the eve of my wedding day along with my bridesmaids. On first contact with the B&B I asked if I would be able to have an extra late checkout, and for a little extra charge was no problem at all, which meant we could relax and get ready in our own time. The staff were... More

We stayed here 6 nights in June/July and thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The hotel is well positioned and very close to the shops and restaurants in Ambleside and just a short 15 min walk to the lake. All the staff were lovely and were more than helpful and made us feel welcome. The breakfast was continental buffet and was just... More

We stayed here, myself, my wife and our 6 and 12 year old sons for the early Easter Bank Holiday weekend. The hotel is positioned just on the south edge of the town centre about 3-5mins from the retail and eating out centre of Ambleside. It's across the road from a small park, where you can play boule, bowls, mini... More

We were in Ambleside for 3 nights and had booked Brathay Lodge after reading reviews in TripAdvisor. The check in process was fast and the room allotted to us was on the ground floor of the lodge. The room size was pretty decent with an old world charm and the renovations included a Jacuzzi in the bathroom. Breakfast buffet consisted... More

Four of us stayed in this lovely property recently and we were all suitably impressed. The owners were really lovely and welcoming and made sure we had an enjoyable stay. The rooms were really comfortable and cosy in pleasant bright decor, and the bathrooms spacious with spotlessly clean and well maintained fittings & fixtures. We all really enjoyed breakfast in...
