We stayed for the bank holiday as a large family group. It's an independent guesthouse and my room was a bit tired (peeling paper) but others looked very new and fresh, and it was certainly spotlessly clean and bright. “The Smallwood gem”

Having decided at the last minute to find a hotel for overnight, we came across this little gem of a hotel. So plesed you enjoyed your stay. The bed is a 'zip and link' bed, not 2 singles pushed together, they are designed to be used as a double or two singles to give us more flexibility, but yes they are also extremely comfortable. More

stayed here many times best hotel in ambleside your assured a warm welcome by christine and anthony great facilites and parking which is a bonus in ambleside .can't comment on fitness centre and swimming pool as we did'nt use them

It is always good to see you again. I can assure you that the swimming pool and gym are well worth a visit, I will remind you next time to go and relax there for a while. More
