After reading the reviews of Riverside Hotel we were expecting something special and we were not disappointed. 4th visit. A change of room this time from the 4 poster in room 1 to a super king size in room 2 (as 4 poster unavailable when we booked 6 months earlier!). Very comfy. We really look forward to our regular holiday breaks at `Riverside`. The Host and hostess are always the same, genuine,friendly, caring geordies! They recommended a delightful four mile walk around Grasmere from one of their many books available to guests. Afternoon tea at the `Swan` was not part of the itinerary, just a great added extra. Great location Great breakfast.
