We stayed here for five nights. The hotel is very comfortable and has the facilities of a large establishment, but with the friendly and helpful staff more usually found in a small one. The breakfasts are amazing - everything you could possibly think of seemed to be on offer (whisky to take with the porridge was a particularly nice touch)....

we have stayed at this hotel a few time and we love it. Comfortable lounges and the breakfasts are worth getting up for in the morning. Excellant location and a fantastic thai restaurant next door. lovely walks especially ambleside to grasmere. Plus it has got a carpark.
